Welcome To Chelsea Thiago Silva *Official*

Really hope he'll be fit for the final game of the season so he can get a proper send off by the fans. If he isn't I'd be ok with him starting and getting subbed off one minute into the game.

Kinda surprised if true. I wonder if the rumours are true Belle and their sons will be staying in London regardless of where Thiago moves to.

With their money Rio to London is a tiny barrier at most.

An overnight flight in first class and Belle/the kids could visit Thiago or vice versa on a day off if they really wanted to.

Offered to us on a free apparently.

All things considered, i'd take him for a season or two.

Not a bad shout.

Last away game for him yesterday. Think he absolutely loved our away fans and he took in the support a lot last night at the end.

Would love to be there Sunday. It will be emotional and I don't doubt he will get the fantastic send off he deserves. He has to have the arm band and it would be fitting if he scored with one of those trademark headers.

Gonna miss this guy so much. He has built up such a bond with the club and the supporters and he really is one of the best defenders who have ever played the game.

Obviously the armband idea is nice, but ironically it'll probably be Conors last game too.

Going to be really gutted to see him go. I can't remember the last time a player built such a strog relationship with the fans, despite being around in a fairly bad time for winning things (Obviously the CL but we've been riddled with failure in the league and other cups).

I wouldn't give him the armband, it should have happened last summer but it didnt. I don't think a token gesture like that does him the justice he deserves (unless all other potential captains aren't on the pitch).

Absolutely gutted he's going, haven't dreaded a last game this much since John Terry's.

Yes, it's a sad day. He's been a joy to watch in his years with us. I was thrilled when Lamps signed him, but I never imagined he'd stay with us as long as he has.

I would pick him as JT's partner in my all-time Chelsea XI.

I have no problem with him leaving, though. It would be great if he comes back as a coach in a year or two, as he genuinely seems to love the club.

My favourite player since Hazard left. Our best and most consistent player too. Never expected him to stay beyond 2 seasons, but we have had him for 4. I wish we got him before PSG did, I would have loved to watch him playing for us for a decade.

I always found it great how he went on to win the CL after leaving PSG.

Letting him go on a free like that was foolish, he was vital in that CL trophy.
