I doubt Havertz will start the game today. Based on his performance against Brighton Lampard will be cautious throwing him against Liverpool. Likely Mount will be selected as his "trusted lieutenant". CHO may not be starting the game either. Potentially Barkley starts the game.

Maybe something like this,

We cannot give away a free kick from 30-35 meters and inwards. TAA have scored his last two against us.

I think we will score today. Hoping for a great showing from the defence. Given up on hoping anything from Kepa but if everyone else plays well we will have a chance.

Take aways from the last game:

- Havertz should not be out wide
- Alonso needs constant support down the left or he gets overrun
- Kepa still pants

We didn't get rid of lamptey. He decided to leave because he was at best our 3rd choice right back.

We did want him to stay. Offered him a new deal but he turned it down and wanted to leave. Hopefully our deal with Brighton involved a first refusal.

When we have so many injuries and it is early I don't feel that much nerves here. Liverpool is a big favourite to win this one. 

RLC and Rudiger are not even on the bench.

I think the system will be very dynamic, it's clearly that Lampard want that Harvetz and Werner connection.

Liverpool is playing that same lineup season after season. No injuries with their main men. 

I like the formation, I don't like some players in it. Ideally there would have been Silva, Mendy, Chilwell, Ziyech, Pulisic... ok, they are injured, I get it. But Kepa again? Azpi on the bench? He could have easily replaced Alonso. Mount after the game he just had? Barkley earned his chance. Christensen over Tomori or Rudiger?
