March 21, 20215 yr The thing in our favour is 'Roman' aint afraid to spunk whatever it takes, he is the only Owner last year that seemed to ignore the 'Covid money crisis', and Dortmund want the ££s in one go, something maybe only us and Citeh might do, forget Utd, Real and Barca are in a heap of money problems, depends what project is sold to him, Unfortunately i see Pep holding to many Aces. The 'Pep' factor His old fellas Team A winning Team, Personally i think he'd be best with us, a team with potential to be the best in Europe (Get Grealish and a Central defender)

The 'Pep' factor His old fellas Team A winning Team, Personally i think he'd be best with us, a team with potential to be the best in Europe (Get Grealish and a Central defender) I think the only thing in the way of City signing Haaland is Harry Kane, I think Pep has historically had issues managing some of the more extravagant personalities in his managerial career such as Ibra and he may think to go for someone like Kane who is less likely to be troublesome in the changing room. Both will probably cost a similar amount but obviously Haaland is younger and therefore value for money as he will either serve the club for a decade or alternatively you can recoup most of your cost when you look to sell him in a few years. I don't think Pep will look at it from that perspective and will see who is the better fit into his team and playing style and with a resurgence of this "False 9" this season Kane would be a much better fit for Pep.
March 26, 20215 yr So apparently he will cost £180m and that’s without Raiola fees. As good as he is I think it’s daft to spend that much on him.

In the present climate I don’t think the fee will get to that. Teams that could afford £100m+ are City, Utd, PSG and maybe us and I can’t see a bidding war.
March 26, 20215 yr I think the quoted price is too much. Until the end of the season and the actual bidding war starts I won't pay too much attention. Would I like him yes, do I care if we don't get him not really. I hear Lukaku is an option if we can't get Erling what do people think about that?

Haaland's value right now is £100m, whoever signs him will pay more than 130m from the looks of it. Basically he's made as a new big signing for Pep now that Aguero will leave. If Real Madrid wants to sign Ronaldo again from Juventus or Mbappe from PSG then they won't even try to go for Haaland but in the latter case it basically gives PSG a big reason to sign Haaland and to give him whatever he and his agent ask for.

Coincidentally that's roughly the same amount the CL winners get. https://www.cityam.com/champions-league-2020-21-how-prize-money-is-calculated-and-why-the-winners-dont-always-get-paid-the-most/
March 27, 20215 yr We currently have 8 first team attackers in the team, 4 st (if i include Havertz as one) and we play only 3 of them at the same time. We also have only 3 midfielder and we play 2 at the same time. So how do we fix our problem, simple sign 150 m st 😓😓 Edited March 27, 20215 yr by Bob stark

That's not bad at all, specially if they all continue to develop and settle in but without Giroud's experience and 10+ goals this season we would have been in big trouble. So if there is this amazing option to get Haaland and deny for example Man City to have the next Aguero for 10 years, why not...
March 28, 20215 yr Surely his value is plummeting after he drew blanks for Norway against the mighty Gibraltar and Turkey LOL ... ? Subbed off early in both games !

I personally not big fan of signing player because he is a target for other team. Haaland is a phenomenal talent, if we are a complete team or one st away from damn good we should just go all out for him or we have clear need for ST. But I don't think we are. I personally want a midfielder. The type really depend on what Tuchel want from this team onwards.

March 29, 20215 yr City are almost certain to go all out for him now that Aguero is leaving. I'll be surprised if he ends up going anywhere else.

Read this and you may change your mind. I think we will get him if and only if Roman is involved. He wanted Hazard personally, he got him. He wanted Havertz personally, he got him. He has an aura when it comes to attracting these targets. Also, our relationship with Raiola has dramatically improved over the last 18 months and apparently Cech has a big influence in proceedings now. I think we can get him.
March 31, 20215 yr These are my thoughts on this: City are favourites as they do not need to swap anyone they can afford the price, if someone else gets Haaland then Kane will be their target. Aguero will probably go to Barca. If we are reluctant to spend big and so offer a swap deal for Haaland which does not appeal will probably go for Lukaku as Kane will not go to Chelsea. If Spurs can be tempted to into a swap deal involving Bale for Kane then Kane might go to RM. If we need to go for Lukaku the Italians will probably propose a swap and they seem to like our defenders.
March 31, 20215 yr Apparently he wants 600k PW, puts his transfer at a nut tightening 300 million, f**k that.....

April 1, 20215 yr All the papers are in a flap, that he is going to sign for Barca, these clowns who are so in debt its untrue, but we are lead to believe, yep he's gonna sign for them without speaking to Us or City, the only thing partially believable is that paying 600k PW, won't shock Barca, IE Messis unbelievable pay packet?
April 1, 20215 yr Apparently Raiola and his father were with Barca today and HO-LEE POOP these f**king tabloid people are freaking the f**k out... Apparently since Barca is supposedly in crazy debt and don't have much money but they're gonna sign Haaland for 180M?
April 1, 20215 yr Wait till they rock up in the UK, they'll go Batsh*t crazy, hold onto your hats, its gonna be a BS festival to rival the best we've seen
April 1, 20215 yr First Barca then Real. In a few days all the British clubs including Chelsea. This is what the papers say. Raiola and Haaland travelling to find the best club for him.
April 1, 20215 yr I’m surprised he’s even considering Barca and Madrid. They’ve been dogsh*t for a good few years and they’re not in a good situation either.
April 1, 20215 yr Dogsh*t for a good few years? Between them they've won 6 out of the last ten European Cups and 17 out of the last 20 Spanish titles. We keep talking about debt. Debt is only ever an issue if it can't be repaid. Madrid and Barca seem to have endless influence with government and banks to get by with huge debt. They also have huge revenue streams. Haaland will not be moving to a second tier club. We've got to prove ourselves a first tier team again to sign him. Simple as. If not he'll be off to Barca, Madrid, Bayern, PSG or Juve.
