Haaland unreal on the counter attack. Don't think he'll be the perfect fit at City that everyone thinks. Not the kind of player to operate in tight areas.

He'll be perfectly fine.

This city team can play faster if they want to. More importantly pep is not stupid he won't play as slow right now with a monster threat in the box.

Still doesn't change the fact he's not the type of striker to operate in tight areas and he's going to have to adapt to playing against packed defences. I don't think he'll flop by any means but i don't think he elevates City to another level either. To me, City are no more of a threat with Haaland than they currently are with what they have available.

This is horse doo, Type of striker! Haaland is a young potentially world class player just like de bruyne was, A truly good striker performs and finds goals even if hes the only decent player in the team, Drogba was amazing at turning up when we needed him to, All the best strikers in history exactly the same

The same was said about salah im a bit tired of hearing this from people like an entire squad should be re done to fit the perfect striker, Nah, Good strikers adapt to the team and do what's needed.

Haaland at city is a sweaty prospect and with their squad and current state its frankly worrisome

Are you trying to deny the fact that certain players are a certain profile and therefore suit certain teams? We have a prime example of it playing up top for us.

honestly bored of football at this point. when the already dominant force in England is getting the best young striker, the league becomes pointless. more dominance, more one club league.

Losers talk this way to be honest. I expect more from you.

Like how many professed that lukaku was the man for us?!

Even costa played however to score goals, Its a debunked theory and belongs on football manager not irl

Well domestically that is the case, City aren't unbeatable though.

We just need to get recruit better, but the new owners won't want to be the 2nd, 3rd or 4th best team so we have to hope they make funds available for some transfers this summer.

He was declared the missing piece in the puzzle and the man to finish what we create.

Without realising we created as much as we did due to high pressing and fluid movement, neither of which Lukaku is capable off to an extremely high level.

Pep's fluid attack even without Aguero has been really good, some of that will be gone when they incorporate the young Håland into the team since he's a real striker but make no mistake it will still be extremely easy for them to attack and to score goals, those players around him won't mind to do a lot of work off the ball and in such a team, such the talent that he is it's more likely that he'll destroy the league than not.

Augero was excellent in tight areas given his ability on the ball and low centre of gravity.

The quality of football has dropped off in the German league, their teams were way off in the CL this year, so i'm still dubious to how good he will perform over here, the EPL has a lot of teams that will sit deep and frustrate him, from what i have seen of him his best play comes from having space, he can be sure that he won't get the space he gets in Germany over here, of course he could get on the end of everything city produce and score a sh*t load of goals, it remains to be seen.

That guy is a monster. At first you would argue whether he is the right fit for their style but I think he is smart enough to adapt. City score tons of goals from crosses. He can be at the end of them. He is a beast.

City buying Grealish was a bit weird and so far it has not being a match but you never know how long it takes to adapt to new surroundings. It is not fair to say after just one season if he is a flop or not.

I would think Liverpool would be the best match for Haaland in terms of style of football.

Remains to be seen whether he is a success story but I feel he will be. He is just so driven and physically a beast. Also a personality that seems to be levelheaded. This is why I also believe Kai will have a brilliant Future with us. He is just a humble boy that is super talented and driven player.

Yeah he’s 99% a City man next season.

Interesting to know if he considers City a big club. Or is it down to the big wages?  Hope he likes the City bench.

The more we live in Man-City’s shadow the more I really start to think what could have been under Roman, City are doing it all bigger and better, philosophy wise, planning wise, you name it. When they’ve finally got their hands on the UCL we can’t really say much. Just hope under Boehly we can ‘do a Liverpool’, because nobody can compete with the state owned clubs on this level.

Nah its still better than the italian league which was talked up before lukaku was purchased and it shows with the likes of havertz who's on another planet compared to lukaku

He made it clear he did not see us as a big club and had no interest in considering us. He was a none starter for us.

I would not be surprised if he spends the next 4 to 7 years at City before moving on to Real or Barca.
