You need the technical precision to make the most of his abilities but as I've said many times before, these guys can barely weight a pass correctly (again as evidenced by the Lukaku-Ziyech argument at half time).

this is what they said to each other at halftime (they talked in Dutch)

Ziyech: I wanted to give it on your outer leg, so you could control it with one touch and be in front of goal

That's why it was such a hard pass

Lukaku: Yes, but the ball slid through

Ziyech: Because you weren't expecting that

But if you expected that pass and anticipate and control it we are through on goal

It was not a heated discussion at all

United bag of sh*t all night tonight no service to the forwards yet Greenwood doesn't have a problem scoring.

Leicester started to get a grip onto Kane so he drifted into midfield to allow a runner in behind and Spurs were rewarded with 3 points.

Meanwhile our striker has 8 touches in one half and it's everyone's fault but his.

But didn't you know, there are cliques in our squad now and that are deliberately making Lukaku look bad 🙄

I read on the Metro, yes I know, thst Rom was heavily booed by the away fans when being subbed off at the Amex.

Any one on here travel to Brighton for the game able to confirm or deny this?

I saw Carefree Lewis's vlog who confirmed it.

Match going fans have always upto this point backed under performing strikers, Timo is adored despite everything.

Our fans have always appreciated effort above all else. Our away fans are some of the very best in the world imo, Not a knock on the real fans at the bridge.

Be interesting to see how the fans react to him on Sunday then. Was tongue in cheek when o mentioned about him getting the rafa treatment....but could it actually happen? I mean even since the interview I have heard the Lukaku song through the TV when watching games, so this is quite a turn.

I'm not really a fan of booing but I can't say I'll hold it against anyone who decides too.

What he's done is probably worse than Rafa because atleast the latter had the excuse that he was the 'enemy' at the time, Lukaku is suppose to be with us and worse is supposedly a childhood fan (which I've long suspected was a PR stunt).

Agreed it is worse. Never been so disgusted by one of our own players.

I think Toni got booed when the fans suspected he had it in for Frank, then there were the "rats" that got Jose sacked.

This time though is not players who got a manager sacked, rather one who's actions may get the manager sacked.

The manager still has the choice to pick said player though surely? And if the rest of the squad is on the manager's side that shouldn't be a contentious decision.

It's never that simple when a problem costs 100 million pounds.

Does he? Like how Conte has the choice to not use Ndombele at the moment?

Exactly. The board, whether it was Roman driven or Marina driven, dropped this steaming pile of garbage at TT feet and told him to make it smell like Roses.

Wow the list is quite long. I had concerned about Werner and Morata before they came here. With werner it was quite clear his technical ability was below average and Morata was a bit too weak to play no 9 in pl.

With Lukaku my biggest concern was watching Tammy struggle under Tuchel (funny nobody talk about this), but I thought Lukaku is more mature and has more complete skill, so he should be fine turn out I am wrong. I am not even sure Haaland will work in this team.

With the way we play. Slow build up, no one one player, very little direct ball to st, we probably better of playing false 9 and sign wide forward.

Has anyone noticed how in panic our attacking players are in situations where we have a good chance of cutting back or crossing? It is so apparent. 30% of those passes even remotely have a target that could lead to a shot.

City and Liverpool are miles ahead in that. Someone like Jota who isn't very big is able to find a space to run to in the box and the cross finds him. Not to mention tiny City attackers/midfielders.

In those situations we are massively disjointed.

Lukaku has a massive frame and defenders will target him. There should be plenty of spaces for others to make intelligent runs and get shots on target.

The same match going fans who thought Barkley was better than Kovacic.

It is for City. Pep take a Grealish in and out as he pleases.

They have unlimited money.

Us however posted a net loss of 145 million last year.

We are actually getting left behind in almost every way. No longer competing with the best sides in the Premier League (and haven't for five seasons now), falling further and further behind financially and stuck with the lowest match-day revenue out of almost every half decent club in the country because of our low capacity.

That's a digression but still relevant.

The current price of £1,250 in the West Stand Upper Tier will rocket to £3,900 per seat for a tier one ticket on and around the half-way line, next season.

Another big problem with our squad is Pulisic, Mount, CHO and Havertz who can do this are in poor form to do this. Could be a situational awareness error or tactical coaching error.

I don't want to rag on Lukaku further but this is an area he can improve in, he doesn't pull defenders away much tbh because he tends to stay in the middle when defenders are on him.

Exactly. if your'e in the hot spot up front you better be a goal scorer, otherwise your'e just getting in the way and interfering with the strategy of moving defenders out of position, which is something we nailed against some top teams last season.

Even if he moving to the side people complaining he is not there when the pass arrive in the center. If he stay in the center then they pass to side then he got blamed not moving enought 😩 to some people you can’t never do anything good. Well im happy that even the exstriker like Alan shearer or Ian wright saw the same thing. They don’t pass to Lukaku. Odoi doesn’t do nothing in the match and Tuchel keeps playing him next to Lukaku. They said ( if a striker make so many runs without service then even they would stop moving up front)
