United's ex players are so deluded. If he truly believes that we have the weakest defence out of the top 4, and that Man United have 2 top CB's (one definitely isn't and the other one needs to prove himself all over again after being poor for Real Madrid in recent seasons) then he clearly doesn't watch much football. Thiago Silva alone is better than any CB United have had since Vidic.

After watching the Liverpool / Watford game this morning and again on MOTD I am more convinced than ever that Danny Rose is by far the worst defender in the league by a mile. Total sh*te.  

The grumpy look on CR7's face everytime United failed to win, or the others not passing to him😅

Surely things will get better for Raneri and Watford, couldn't possibly concede 6 next weekend.

He should have said individually, City and Liverpool may have slightly better CBs but as a defence, ours are right up there.

Our defense has imo been the best defense in pl since Tuchel took over. 

Saying your cb is better is basically empty talk. It doesn't mean anything. Pool fron has been arguably the best front 3 in pl but City has outscored them pretty much every season.

Individually is also debatable (or not much of a debate really). Christensen alone is better than every CB United has. And Rudiger of course. And Maquire should be honoured to be part of the same sentence as Silva (and Azpi) 😂

City and Liverpool have excellent defenders, no debate there.

I think even individually, ours are at least as good as the top 4's CB's, certainly better than United's. Thiago Silva, Diaz and VVD are the best CB's in the league, there isn't much between the 3 of them. So at least one of our CB's is up there with the very best the league can offer.

People are saying the system is why our CB's looks so good now, but I think Christensen has gone up a level and I think that if he played in a back 4 today, he would be better than Matip, Stones, Maguire, Lindelof and current Varane. Laporte is probably the only one not listed that may be ahead of Christensen right now. Rudiger is the one where people can argue that he is only playing well now because of the system, but I would also say back to them that if the likes of Matip, Stones, Maguire, Lindelof, Varane and Laporte played in the same system, they wouldn't be anywhere near as effective as Rudiger. So Rudiger may be worse than them in a back 4, but in a back 3, I think he has them all beat.
