There is no way in the whole wide world you comeback match after match, you've been put to the sword but still manage to find those sneaky goals to keep you in the tie and ultimately win. Simply not possible under normal circumstances. Pool would be delighted about getting them in the final because they know any team can beat Real over 90 minutes like we, city & psg did but nigh impossible over 2 legs. Relying on pure moxy and moments when you aren't controlling the game is theoretically harder over 180 minutes than it is over 90.

They were never in control in any of the knockout matches but managed to score the pivotal goals that completely deflated the opposition. Then it was one way traffic especially against teams like psg and city who already have a mental block in the CL. It would be interesting to see the strategy klopp uses in th final.
May 5, 20224 yr One down and counting. All of a sudden I'm a temporary Real supporter. Let's make it 3 English defeats in a row!

Maybe not as extreme as this season but I remembered watching them went down 1-0 in the final to Atletico until Ramos scored in the 93 min. I watched being destroyed by bayern at bernabeu n they scored 2 offsides n vidal got 2nd yellow for clean tackle.

They also still have a long way to go to overtake our success outside of domestic football. 2 Champions Leagues, 2 Europa Leagues a Super Cup and Club World Cup. People outside of Chelsea see it that way unfortunately. League dominance over a period of time… we were unlucky to be up against Ferguson and the hiring & firing didn’t help either but it is what it is, unfortunately. City winning the UCL would pretty much cement it, so last night was great.

Won the league in all big 5 European leagues and hopefully he wins over Klopp. Last time it was easy for Real Madrid but after all Liverpool will be trying to win the league and the FA Cup before the CL Final so they might just lose all the fuel, all it takes is one bad match and Liverpool is yet to have one in the CL and Real's boys will be just chilling till the final now since they already won La Liga. Would've done them wonders had they won the CL.

It must be frustrating for any manager to play team like this. You pretty much do everything right. You probably make minor mistake that is usually not punished but against real in cl you get punished. Heck, no team is that good at converting mistake but in cl with real it happen again and again. May 5, 20224 yr Yep, RM had no business going to the semis as we dominated them but because of our pathetic mistakes, we gifted them the semis. City had overall dominance as well but two blinding mistakes has cost them. For Liverpool to win the CL, they must not gift RM any mistakes.
May 5, 20224 yr Salah is talking a lot, about revenge on Real. Wouldn’t it be hilarious if Real smash them?
May 5, 20224 yr Well maybe not as fugly as Shrek/Rooney, but close. Certainly does not hold a candle to our handsome Mason Mount and CHO and RLC and jorgi.

May 5, 20224 yr I feel this weekend we may finally see a game Liverpool's high line is exploited. If any combination is primed to do just that it's a Conte led side with Kane and Son up top.

They had very little possession but were absolutely lethal on the break.

That would be the same Spurs that have gone several games under Conte with no shots on target? 3-0 to the home side. Far as Real goes how do we see the same defence that our poor front line ripped apart time and again in Spain coping with Salah, Mane, Jota, Diaz et al? Yeah...

They lost something like 4 out of 5 and the previous two home games when they went to City. Plus Conte seems to have Klopp figured out, hasn't lost against him since his first few games with us and even that took a once in a lifetime Henderson screamer.

May 5, 20224 yr Well f**k my old boots. Had a busy day at work today and early start so went to bed early last night - checked the score and it was 1-0 City 85th minute, so all over. Got up this morning, put the kettle on, glanced at phone and saw Man City with lots of laughing emoji's. Brain took a bit of time to decipher, so went to BBC results page and couldn't quite believe it. Talk about serial CL chokers! How can a side, supposedly as good as City, be 5-3 up on aggregate going into injury time and and end up getting knocked out? Unbelievable - if only it had been the dippers and Klopp. Maybe it's too much to ask for a similar end in the CL final! Can see Pep now going to the board saying "if I had Kane or Haaland that wouldn't have happend............." So fellow CFC fans. Say your prayers hard. CFC to beat the LFC in the FA Cup Final. City to win the PL. Then Real Madrid to beat LFC in CL Final. Then we can all bathe in dipper tears whilst watching Klopps head explode. CAREFREE....................!!! Edited May 5, 20224 yr by Nibs
May 5, 20224 yr Yeaaah Liverpool aren’t chokers. They may not win the quad but they will certainly win at least another trophy this season. Unless injuries galore, you are in for a big disappointment.
