December 18, 20232 yr I'd like to keep him but if we want to eventually challenge for titles I don't know if he should be a starter, I think he's a great squad option though. If we got an offer £45m+ though it would be a tough one to turn down. Edited December 18, 20232 yr by timetowaste

All the Cobham grads not named Reece James are available for the right price, and if Reece continues on with his injuries and medical bills he may join that list too.

December 18, 20232 yr I am not is biggest fan but he absolutely has a role in the squad how stupid are these people doing to recruiting that they will sell someone who wants to be here FFS.
December 18, 20232 yr Selling Connor is another example of shortsightedness and actions that speak volumes more than their words by this club. Personally, I think from now on, I have zero expectation of any academy kid actually being able to come through properly. bc they (the club) have proven time and again that they (the club) values talent outside of their own academy. additionally, they believe the academy only serves to financially benefit the club and has zero sporting merit when it comes to the first team. I know Levi has come through and reece as well, but they are the exception, not the rule. I’m just done being disappointed and expecting the club to value their academy players. anyways, hope you all are having a safe and joyous holiday season so far.

I mean with Mount, sure he's stalled his progression for some time but he's still a European Champion and was arguably one of England's best footballers in 2021. The price differential is understandable.

Gallagher is worth the same as Mount imo Caicedo is not more than £70m we 100% overpaid. Brighton took us for mugs time and time again. Realistically we should have picked one of Lavia and Caicedo not both then gone for an elite attacker with the additional £50-100m depending on which midfielder we had signed. Such poor squad planning. I agree Gallagher should be closer to Mount £50m.
December 18, 20232 yr Absolutely f**king ridiculous to sell him, he wears his heart on his sleeve, loves the club and gives his all. Tell me on single other player still at the club who does that? please tell me. If he's sold for financial reasons ahead of some other dog turd players we have i'm done.

Was saying the same to someone earlier on, it's exactly my thoughts, and a like on your post isn't enough! Selling Conor at this point proves that the club is purely interested in a financial position and business model. The guy wants to stay and play for the badge in a club he loves and has up'd his performances to reflect that! All this so-called project talk and they want to sell one of the biggest players that is part of that! It would be more bonkers than the Juan Mata sale and that was just Jose flexing back then, selling Conor would be insane! It shows the club has completely lost its soul, and people are going to start turning their backs, more than a lot already have since the sanctions!

December 18, 20232 yr if we sell Conor just to please the books or to buy two 16 years old 'world prospects' from Brazil, I am done with these owners.
December 18, 20232 yr I really hope he stays, his improvement as he gains experience is one of the few things that make me hopeful for our future.

December 18, 20232 yr Do I think Gallagher is absolure top drawer or ever will be? Probably not. But nor was Mikel, Ramires, or Oscar (amongst others) and everyone of them added a lot to a squad game. There are plenty of players I'd be looking to move on before Gallagher got to the top of that list.
December 18, 20232 yr The Academy being looted by the owners. Nothing to do with football, all to do with offsetting the ridiculous spending spree on overpriced players Edited December 18, 20232 yr by The Rising Sun Info
December 18, 20232 yr Question is wtf will they do when we’ve run out of academy players to keep funding their f**k ups.

Todd and Co have already f**ked up Strasbourg with an imposed policy of buying young inexperienced players . They obviously think it's working at Chelsea 🤣🤣
