November 12, 20232 yr He's an absolute beast! Insane levels this season. Best midfielder in the league and he's one of us!
November 13, 20232 yr Have to admit, was calling him a headless chicken not so long ago…. But he has proven me wrong, he is getting better and better and his work rate is outstanding. Some seem worried for when Nkuku returns, I’m not. Cardio G seems undroppable now.
November 13, 20232 yr Imagine if we did let him go for £30m in summer like was rumoured. Simply incredible this season, just needs to get his goal tally going now. 4 assists already and counting.

I'd be devastated but I can really see it happening. Lavia due back soon, Newcastle looking to add depth and cover for Tonali's ban... If we're offered enough I really fear the draw of some "pure profit" would be too much for the board to resist. Hopefully they wont sell without Poch's blessing though.
November 13, 20232 yr Really didn't think he had this level in him. Incredible improvement in awareness and passing the last couple of games. Earlier in the season he might need 2 or 3 touches to get control of both the ball and the situation, compared to now where he's already made up his mind before receiving the ball. Truly a leader on the pitch as well. Keep this level and eventually all those runs into the box will translate to goals and then there is nothing stopping him from becoming our new Lampard.
November 13, 20232 yr I think the focus for "academy profit" will have now moved on to Chalobah and Maatsen, plus additional sales of academy players who are out on loan.
November 13, 20232 yr Got to admit, never in a million years did i think he'd have what it takes to surpass Mount as an academy product but its looking inevitable now.

Given that he has started every game, and wears the arm band, the odds of selling him are remote.

Mount is a mystery. Seemed to plateau, not helped by injury and what looked like burnout. Wasting his time at MU while the manager sees him solely as a midfielder. That was never his strength.

I think the striker situation is key. If Jackson continues scoring and Broja plays into form, we can look so strong atatcking wise, that if we can convert goals then they may not need to go in during January and try to get Osimhen or Toney. Its when we don't score against a low block that we look progessively sh*t. If they do go after Osimhen it will need some offset funding, which could be Chalobah, Maatsen out the door, along maybe with deals for Kepa and Lukaku to get them off the books. Gallagher may also be too tempting to resist. I hope not. I don't think that the turnovers we get from his doggedness can be overlooked. I found that with Gallagher, Sterling and Caicedo yesterday, the amount of times we nicked back possession was excellent.

Not to make this into a Mason Mount thread or anything, but I bet Mount would've actually loved playing in this team with the way we are playing. Now he's being shoved into a CM in a sh*t United side because he's never going to take Bruno's spot.

Varane and Casemiro both multiple CL winners now look a shadow of the force they once were. Sancho was destined to be what Bellingham currently is but look at him now. Still think whichever teams gets him on a cheap from Utd will get a steal.

I read that one of his main reasons for wanting to leave was that he saw himself as a CM and didn't fancy continuing in the role he had with Chelsea, where he was more of a link between the midfield and the attack (and did the role very well in my opinion, until injuries and a team/club in chaos saw his form take a dive). Personally I never thought we looked right with him in midfield, and I really do not see him being a success in that role at United.
November 13, 20232 yr As for Gallagher, he's been tremendous this season - our best midfielder by a distance so far, consistently outperforming the two £100m men. Unbelievable energy/ workrate, and his confidence and self-belief are growing by the game.
November 13, 20232 yr Strength in depth is only going to be more sensible starting next year with the new European football league table format. (Applies to Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League).
November 13, 20232 yr Our very own Guttuso.. he is the closest we have to Kante .. love how he looked down at Rodri.. felt like a Chelsea captain .. the look on his face was amazing!!

Poch played Gallagher as nailed down starter since day one, he even gave him the captain armband. It was clear what poch was trying to do. 🤭🤭🤭But it was also clear that the board wanted to sell Connor. I am not sure we will use Lavia aka 50 m man as 4th string midfielder. November 14, 20232 yr Anyone else think he may turn out to be the better player than Mount? Conor actually seems to bleed blue, which didn't seem to truly be the case for Mount.

Gallagher has blatantly obviously worked very hard on his game, no doubt aided and abetted by Poch. Almost unrecognisable from the Gallagher of recent years. Mount reached a level and plateaued not helped by injury and what appeared to be burnout.

This united team is just a bit 😵💫😵💫😵💫 Out of all the top team I have watched so far they are the 😵💫😵💫😵💫 Watching Mount running chasing counter as if he is Kante is 😱😱😱. The problem is they need him to do so, but if he need him to do that why sign Mount, get onana from everton.

Under TT he was asked to pick up the ball from CB constantly which is his biggest weakness and Potter spell was just a mess.
