Was thinking the same.

If we could arrange a loan to Everton, that would actually not be that bad.

Gil wont get that much playtime here and everton is a step up to Norwich.

Would be good for him. Gal on the other hand just has to play for us next season.

Gil 'n' Gal, and we already have a Gol, any Gel out there?

Why o' WHY don't we have a young, very good promising LB that can replace Alonso?

That is going to solve most of our defensive problems when Chilwell gets injured and we manage to keep hold of Rudiger.

But I was really impressed with his performance against Arsenal.

Maatsen.

Gallagher doesn't need anymore loans, he is ready to breakout if we just give him the chance.

Send Colwill to Lampard he could start there and play 30+ premier league games for them.

As much as i love Lamps i wouldn't want any of our defenders loaned to him. He can work wonders with our attackers by all means but he can't organise a defensive gameplan.

Personally, I'd be wary of sending any of the young players to Everton with Lamps. Although he had success at Derby with Mason and Tomori, ( both of which would have turned out good players), I can't help but think that he has to shoulder some of the blame that Tomori has ended up at Milan.

Well he has to shoulder all the blame. It's completely on him.

We don’t actually know that for definite, it depends how well Tomori was training,  overall attitude or maybe even side issues out of football. It is weird how he suddenly dropped out of contention and the club readily sold him. Maybe it was Lamps or more probably a bit of both.

Not really,  arguably they are in the same position as Norwich was when they loaned Billy.

Gallagher should be a rotation option at this point in time. If he can take the position from Kante or Jorginho, we'd have a potential star in our hands

Agreed, Gilmour won't get games for Everton, he's not suited for physical relegation battles where his team doesn't have much of the ball.  It will be really hard to find a good loan team for gilmour to be honest, the teams that he would do well in don't really need him.

Gallagher would probably get lots of minutes at Everton but he could also get games here.  If we don't get a central midfielder in the summer he should probably stay.  His problem is we currently don't play 3 centre midfielders which is how he would excel (like Lampard did with two holding midfielders behind him).

I think Frank would develop Colwill like he developed Tomori though, Lampard only stopped using Tomori at Chelsea because he had too many options, at Everton Colwill would probably be the best defender, so a loan like that could work out.

Fair point. Unless we change our system I don't really see a place for him in our best XI. Obviously he'd still get many games over the course of a season but he's certainly not suited for a midfield two and it would be too much with him & Mount as 2/3 of the attacking three. They are both too similar and too workmanlike to take take of two of those spots between them.

With the inverted wingback system I wouldn't be surprised if he gets tested out there, especially if Chilwell takes time to reaccilimitise to top level football.

Many people will dismiss it/laugh but is it anymore far fetched than the likes of RLC, CHO, Milner and Delph playing similar roles? And frankly if (as rumoured) Emerson is going to be the second 'natural' LB/LWB on the rooster next term I'd rather something more 'out there' was tried as opposed to him getting significant minutes.

Gallagher can play behind Havertz or whatever central striker is there, together with Mount. We have been using Ziyech, Werner, Pulisic there anyway and Gallagher could easily have more end product than them.

                  Havertz
Chilwell Mount Gallagher James

               Rice  Kante

Pretty good domestic core there.

Never heard of any of the defence.

Pretty is decent technically, Good is good, Domestic is hated by Americans and Indian fans, Core is central to all that we do and There is always injured.

Mount and Gallagher are not going to fit together IMO.  Alot of industry, not enough creativity.

I would agree. In a midfield three we would also lose the midfield battle considering neither are #6s in nature.

Has to be one or the other.

Make him Mount's backup in the position behind the striker, Chilwells back up as an inverted wingback (if Delph and Milner can do it he can) and play him at CM against the type of teams that sit back.

With it being a world cup year and 5 subs (finally) being implemented he'll probably feature in almost every game if he's used as such above.
