A mix of bad luck, no break in games and the relentless system we play. Older players will break down faster.

Huge miss by Lukaku there, everyone worked hard for that and it was by all means a clear-cut chance that any good striker should finish off.

good win, good performance, more to do next week

Happy with the win and I would have taken the 2-0 before the game started, but we should have finished the tie tonight. I just don't understand how so many players who had some of the best goal scoring and assists in the europe can suddenly be so terrible in front of goal with us. We should have battered Tottenham tonight, that was a 5-0 win, but we relied on a deflection and own goal to win it.

I feel dejected after a 2-0 win against Spurs....

Can't moan about the result but this tie should have been dead and buried...won't be the same Spurs effort next week.  Again totally dominated Spurs but pissed away numerous chances because we are not clinical enough.

f**k the Spuds & f**k the east stand upper. 

Ok 2 goals and a clean sheet good but City or Liverpool would have tore this Spurs side apart. Really need to get the forward players finishing off these easy chances. I'd like to think 2 goals would be enough next leg but realistically we'll probably need another at spurs. 

Good team performance, standouts Saul, Ziyech, Havertz, Alonso, Jorginho and Azpilicueta all put in good shifts imo really worked hard. Overall relatively happy I think TT would have hoped for more but a clean sheet and a couple of goals in a cup semi final is good at this level of football.

Wouldn't be shocked if we go out tbh, that tie should be over but we can't rely on our attaking players. 

Solid performance, and a good result.

We were by far the better side, spuds did a bit here and there but we outplayed and outfought them. Nice to see the squad coming good too, great management by TT.
