Our offense looked so much better because rather than azpi and alonso, it was cho and ziyexh who got  on the ball and it showed.

I am not sure this is a solution though. Because we simply don't have the midfield to play back 4. Without protrction from wb, now you have to really cover ground and Jorginho really struggled in this area. I thought he did  better in 2nd half but he is simply too slow

Important things I learned during the game. Chelsea can still win league games and Dele Alli is half otter.

When the f**k did Sky start putting up the xG stat? Probably ages but I've never noticed it. Utterly ridiculous thing, god knows why anyone ever uses it for anything...much like Harry Maguire.

Thank god we won in the league.

In hindsight I shouldn’t took the piss out of Zyech & Lumpkaku. Fairplay to Kepa another clean sheet vs the 🥔.  We’ve made them our bitches this month and season and despite the recent trials and tribulations that’s a good season imo.  TT got it spot on and the 4 at the back is where it’s at, Sarr looks at home as LB and the midfield was in full control today. Carefree again!

I agree. I like the look of this system/formation.

If we wanted to go forward with this system though someone like Declan Rice is who we need. With him I think it could work very, very well but Jorginho will probably always be a bit vulnerable playing like this.

Only saw the 2nd and the early goal from Ziyech great strike and generally he played well in other aspects too.

The key for the goal was CHO going past his man, the only time I think that half.

Good to get a headed goal from the freekick.

I was getting confused between Sarr and Kante late on.

Once again not impressed by Lukaku, there was one time when he gets the ball with a CFC player either side of him yet he passes back 40 yards to a CB.

Another time, gets the ball and one Spurs CB in front of so he crosses and move wasted. 

Still an important 3 points, or a 6 pointer considering Spurs have games in hand.

This system suit our attacker more. Suddenly all of them look better. Ziyech has not been this good since Lampard days, CHO looks like a menace on the wing, mount keep attacking that right channel and Lukaku playing like a focal point. Everything looks good.

But like what I have been saying for 2 season, if we switch to back 4 and attack faster Jorgi is a massive liability. You can tell today, many times he needed to go to the wing to cover and he could not go back to the middle because there is no support from the wb and it was too difficult for him.

 

 

 

I had to listen to the match in the car today on 5live. Apart from his miss in the first few minutes the commentators didn’t mention Lukaku once ….. I’ll reserve full judgment for when I watch the match back but it just don’t bode well for me for £100m man

mind you we could have paid £100m for Jack Grealish , at least we didn’t do that 😂😂

Actually that was a very good decision. What you want a that point was to keep the ball, don't lose it and just kill the tempo of the game.

Roy Keane is a nut job but he always says it how he sees it. And right now on SKY he is pointing out how sh*te Tottenham are, particularly at the back. Jamie Redknob getting all upset and countering with Spurs just need to sign a few top players, but Roy Mental buries him completely when he asks "what top players would want to come to Tottenham?"

This place is a much happier place tonight. 😀😀

Let's hope James if fit when the league starts again...Lukaku needs to play himself into form...so play him in every game  FA Cup, World Club Championship etc. Let's stay with back 4 until James is back...
