July 24, 2025Jul 24 The bomb squad ain’t moving fast is it, our 2 main sales have been a first team winger and the best keeper on our books at the time.I’m sure there’s a few games of poker going on with various clubs and players. In a way UEFA screw clubs, surely regulatory correspondence regarding finances/fines/ player registration etc must be private and confidential. It’s like playing cards with a dealer who tells the other players what you’ve got. Ridiculous really.
July 24, 2025Jul 24 Going to be a Palace loan on deadline day. @Term_X just so spot on with his premonition. Seeing Sterling’s face will forever remind us of that 2022-24 banter era.
July 24, 2025Jul 24 There are no takers ATM. We will probably have to keep him and Jackson. Gonna be a long season. A Sterling and Jackson combination up front would terrify all EPL defences. It would certainly terrify me.

Rod Stewart almost said "The first cut is the cheapest" if he had he would have been right. Hes never gonna rekindle his career, its over. Nor is Raheem 😂 boom boom. August 11, 2025Aug 11 This is Sterling posing with his family for their annual Christmas photo last year. He and his family live in a gated community in Surrey and he is raising his family in as grounded and settled an environment as he can. He is on £325k per week until 2027. He's going nowhere. Chelsea are just going to have to suck this one up i reckon.

August 11, 2025Aug 11 I kind of want United to take a punt on him so his career would look absolutely ridiculous, playing for all the top 5 major rival teams. Edited August 11, 2025Aug 11 by Victor90

We're mugs for giving him that salary and contract and I'm afraid we just have to swallow it. A loan to West Ham or Fulham would be around his current level.

I don’t know why some fans blame players who are on long big contracts and don’t want to leave. I am staying put for the next two years and then retire.
August 11, 2025Aug 11 Author Is on us for giving him such a contract, and signing him in the first place. He has had a long career already, played many games. He is setting up his kids, grandkids etc for life and giving them a great life now.2years more for him to either not play for us, or get last minute window loans to nearby teams. After that he knows he will be paid far less than he is now and will accept that to play and be close to home. Could see him at Brenford as a free agent in 2 years, maybe west ham or back to QPR.
August 11, 2025Aug 11 I never rated him and was disappointed when we signed him but tried to console myself by thinking maybe I was wrong, after all those responsible should know better than me.

Can't do anything about it at this point other than try to punt him wherever possible, ultimately Sterling's the one with any say.2027 will be his retirement year, I guarantee it

No-one is going to take those wages on and I doubt many will even want to contribute to them. Reckon we’re stuck with him until his contract expires unless we send him on loan and cover the full wage in the hope it makes someone want to buy him next summer (can’t see it personally).
August 19, 2025Aug 19 Never wanted him at the club, wrong player at wrong time... However, the fact that we have gone and signed Sancho, Gittens, Felix, Madueke (come and gone) Neto (poundland Willian) looking at Garnacho (FFS) Simons, in the time he's been here just makes me put my head in my hands. Gittens gets a free pass for me this season, he will come good but needs time and patience... But i find it staggering Maresca cant find a way to fit Stirling into the squad and utilise him in some way shape or form or we keep signing players ahead of Stirling. My mind boggles when we struggle to score or break down teams. Who else do we have that makes late runs into the box or even has the ability to get behind or attacks the back post? You know what you get with Stirling. Its disgraceful from the owners and manager that we have a "bomb squad" to begin with.
September 1, 2025Sep 1 Latest from Sky Sports News' Kaveh Solhekol: It looks like Raheem Sterling is staying at Chelsea unless something unexpected and dramatic happens in the final hour of the window.Time has almost run out for Chelsea to present Sterling with an opportunity which would lead to him moving today.Sterling has two years left on his Chelsea contract and with his family settled in London, I think his preference would have been to move not too far away.I think it was up to Chelsea to put present Sterling with opportunities he could consider, bearing in mind the impact that it could have on his family and his career.I don’t know what’s been put in front of him but I think it’s fair to assume now that he will still be a Chelsea player tomorrow. He's still ambitious and that's underlined by the fact that in the past he has passed on opportunities to play in Saudi Arabia and MLS.

Hs priority is staying in london with his family. No London move means no move for him.
September 1, 2025Sep 1 Foreign windows remain open, such as Saudi or Turkey. But we all know he wants London. What will the club do - just let him train with the kids or individual. Or just pay him off.

All these young wingers we have might well improve faster with a bit of experienced mentoring from someone who plays their position, and historically pretty successfully.

He will ride out the next 2 years and then take a pundit job. Hopefully we have a clause that bans him from doing that work whilst under contract with us
