We do seem like we want to spend more, we were ready to spend over 70m for De Jong... But like you say there is no reports about us willing to spend much for Fofana. Almost as if we're evaluating him like we did Kounde and we all saw how that worked out...

Clearly this is still on foot. As for best young athlete  that remains to be seen. For me cucurella and koulibaly already look like good deals and sterling. This one is easily the riskiest on the little I’ve seen of fofana.

It's BS. The common consensus is that we will get Fofana as our dealing with Leicester in general work out, not always for the best mind but they did sell us Chilwell and Drinkwater, who were first choice players. Technically Kante too but they had no choice with his release clause.

It seems that we have good chances of Auba and Fofana, less than 50% with Gordon and basically a 1% on De Jong according to what a lot of the media have said about it.

Auba Barca apparently wanted to be Lewas back up and to sell De Jong to United and Depay to Juve. De Jong refusing to go complicated their plans.

So fofana 

has been left out of the squad today

At this point Leicester may be wise to cash in at the price offered. The money would enable them to strengthen their team, and by the look of their start they may need a signing or 2.

Played the full 90 minutes in the first two rounds, now in the stands v Southampton. This tells me things are moving between Chelsea and Leicester. I am sure Chelsea would have no problem in paying the asking price, but what is slowing this down for the moment is probably Boehly trying to add a player into this deal? Maybe, maybe not, we will see. Positive he is going to end up as a Chelsea player eventually.

Or they want a replacement hooked before they sell.
