August 14, 20223 yr There have been a couple of occasions on which Loftus-Cheek has received the ball on the width of the box and has just run it to the touchline without an idea of where or when to release it.
August 14, 20223 yr This first half is maybe a perfect example why Conte despite being a top coach simply won't ever match any top club's ambitions, he's great as the underdog but this style is simply never going to cut it in the long run. He willingly surrenders so much space and time without contesting and while he did manage to win the league like that, in Europe that style simply isn't viable. For the long term, Sarri was much more important for our club in comparison to Conte even if we did win the league once.
August 14, 20223 yr Brilliant half. If we had a striker, we would be out of sight. 2nd half will be alot harder.

Tbf with the numbers Spurs have parked in the box there isn’t much to do when ur in that position, best to go back and start again

His decision making has been terrible. Like most of our attackers. Sterling barely in the game
August 14, 20223 yr Deck you Anthony Taylor everytime we try to counter it’s a tactical foul .. how dumb are these refs to not see this ???

August 14, 20223 yr Great half from basically everyone. Just such a shame we can't get that second goal but if we can keep this up surely it won't be too long

I'm pretty sure Tuchel is only playing it now because we had the spine for it, I don't think he had ever used this formation in his career previously. Lamps did the same as well from time to time whenever he needed a solid system other than his own.
August 14, 20223 yr Decent first half! Koulibaly is a machine, Jorgi having a good one, everyone clicking a lot more! Keep it up for the second half!
August 14, 20223 yr Brilliant half of football from us. Please keep it up in the second half, don't come out like you have taken a few sleeping pills like you usually do.

August 14, 20223 yr Koulibaly so far seems to be the perfect replacement for Rudi. He liked scoring against Spurs too 🙂
August 14, 20223 yr Fantastic intensity in the 1st half. We haven't been too creative but we've dominated Spurs all half. Really interesting to see the defensive set up shift between a back 4 or the standard back 3 so fluidly as Reece has been perfoming a really intense man marking job on Son. Followed him everywhere. But sad to see Jorginho once again dominated by a Spurs side that haven't managed to score against him 5 out of the last 6 times he played them but the oracles here did predict it would happen.
August 14, 20223 yr Love Cucurella's progressive thinking. Always looking to pass forward or through the middle.
