Great first half. I was getting tired of all the drooling over Spurs. Hope we continue to put them in their place in the second half.

We are sorely lacking a striker though. With a proper striker, we would be much closer to City and Liverpool. Tuchel is a great manager

Sublime half from Jorginho

showing  his experience let’s hope he keeps it up

Everyone been excellent. RLC has been very good. Standout player Jorginho though. Completely dictated that game. Only annoying thing is 1-0 is a dangerous scoreline.

I have to disagree, Conte's legacy of the 343 is still living on right now. I'm pretty sure Tuchel is only playing it now because we had the spine for it, I don't think he had ever used this formation in his career previously. Lamps did the same as well from time to time whenever he needed a solid system other than his own.

Maybe the formation was influential but the style of being satisfied with 30% possession against any serious team is simply not going to cut it for any top club. What Sarri did for us was better on the long run, every big team tries to play with the ball, only Conte could be successful without having much of the ball which is a red flag by itself.

I mean if we had Kane and Son and if they had 2-3 real touches in 45 minutes most would be complaining, Conte is one of the few that doesn't think that's a problem.

Love Cucurella's progressive thinking. Always looking to pass forward or through the middle.

Chilwell got his work cut out for him.

Very good half.

Problem we’ve still got is turning 1-0 leads into 2-0 leads when we are dominating, it cost us so many times last season.

It’s impossible to win 1-0 in every match.

We need attacking reinforcements before the window closes.

We should be out of sight in this match.

Agreed.

Agree.. I am One of his biggest critic and was worried after the first 5.. but after that he has played like a UCL and EC champion.

I've got high hopes for Kante this season. Got some rest when the others were traveling and maybe, just maybe this is the season he stays injury free and dominates again. Brilliant so far.

These are the games when Jorginho becomes a very good player. Keeps us ticking and very progressive

Round One to Tuchel.

A thoroughly enjoyable half in which all of Tottenham's out balls (particularly the wing-backs) were completely nullified by Tuchel again using Loftus-Cheek as a right-sided central midfielder in possession and a wing-back out of it. Kanté and Jorginho have played particularly well in the middle, and Cucurella has total control down the left. We have been in control throughout; the only disappointment is not to have created more.

Delighted for Koulibaly to have scored a wonderful volley against Tottenham on his home debut. Judging by his left-footed potshot from distance not long beforehand, as well as his run-up when anticipating Cucurella's corner, he was looking to feature on those increasingly long 'Chelsea belters versus Tottenham' YouTube complilations that cheer us up when times are less good.

So far so good. Over to you Antonio.

I love this kind of competition. In recent years, there has been too much of a gap between our first 11 and the squad players.

A lot is dependent on Tuchel though. He can't over play him.

And Koulibaly could have had another one!
