January 7Jan 7 Should be given a run of games next to Caicedo when he is back. If once again gets injured after a couple of matches then a serious decision needs to be made.

Lavia hasnt been fit since he arrived and we dont even know if he can survive a season after 3 years being with us. Lavia or Gallagher, which would you have preferred to have been available the past three years?

I`d rather we kept him and got him fit, I dont see any point in trying to sell him as we wont get any money at all, even if some clubs were to want him.

We would have to offload him for a big loss given his injury record. I agree he is a fine player when fit. Lets hope he can put these injury issues behind him.
January 8Jan 8 He’s only on 45k a week too so no point off loading him for a loss. His upside is huge.

And even while not completing a 90, he has improved since he's been here. You simply don't sell a player of that quality at 22 for pittance.
January 8Jan 8 It's a difficult one but I'd keep him. We've managed to see a turn around in Reece James and even Fofana is managed fairly well so there is a pathway if we can somehow keep him fit. His wages are not astronomical and the fee we'd receive would make us look like idiots, if he can stay fit. Surely worth the gamble of keeping him and if he doesn't stay fit sell him in the last year of his contract for the same money we'd get now.
January 13Jan 13 I get the feeling Mr Lavia is at the heart of Maresca’s sacking. With all the talk of re-injuries and the Medical chief sat on the bench to “remind “ him of the agreed minutes of players coming back it makes sense. We might get a fit Lavia yet………
January 28Jan 28 Really hope this can be the start of something for the lad. A fit Lavia makes us a better team. He's good enough to persevere with although I’m not sure who’d buy him even if we wanted rid. He’ll probably break down in training but I live in hope.
January 28Jan 28 Encouraging to read. Maybe this time. He needs consistent football for his confidence and overall fitness. Just get through to summer and keep building from there - a bit like a new signing all over.

January 28Jan 28 The way our "data oriented" doctors act in regards to players coming back from injuries, Lavia will probably have all his 25 minutes in all competitions until the end of the season managed with the view of having him fully fit for the pre-season💀
January 28Jan 28 Fingers crossed this time. If there is one team where the medical dept will have a say in his minutes it’s Chelsea ! If he breaks down again I will start fearing for the lad He is so good and makes us better. Take it slow minutes here and there

It seems Lavia can't even get a good run of games w/o getting a knock. If he stays fit until the end of the season while slowly getting back, then it's ok. But if the next time he comes back he once again gets injured for a few months after coming on as a substitute, then we have a big problem in our hands.
