This is a genuine concern if true, as any football fan when the owner is throwing around money its quite exciting. If this is true about Potter's wage at Brighton, plus you add in the money we've spent on players since he and his group bought the club. It's becoming apparent to me Boehly is just a kid in a toy store throwing money at literally anything he can.

From £2m a year to £12m a year that's beyond insane who is making these decisions this getting to the point of serious lack of accountability. Someone is failing at their job and its not specifically Potter, but much higher up.

For one thing that guy has his own "talks football" YouTube show, or it might be better called "talks b*ollocks" to be more accurate. He has been a Potter hater since day 1, some "supporter". George Benson football Channel and Football therapy are much better, balanced and in depth on analysis. Give good old YTF a miss.

For two though on this point, wven a Potter back like myself thought from the get on a 5 year deal, and such a wage was far too much on both counts.

We will never win anything with tweedle dee and tweedle dum stinking up the club.

What is with Potter and the Milk Try man look I'm pretty sure he didn't dress like that at Brighton skinny jeans and sensible shoes he's been taken fashion advice I suspect by these two.

Doubt it, most likely a couple of days off due to no game until next Sunday.

Yeah some were like "oh they cancelled training today cause they sacked Potter" now it is "cancelled training Monday as they sacked Potter".

Seems to be quite a few on here holding out hope it is true though, they must believe all our problems are on Potter, and nothing to do with our players, ot indeed our owners..

And yet a lot of these players managed to lose to the 3 worst sides we have faced all season, Saints, Leeds and Zargreb, with Potter nowhere to be seen. I wonder was that all TT fault then and nothing on the players too? Maybe some voodoo curse caused by Potters impending arrival?

We've gotten drastically worse since Potter took over, Tuchel never even lost 2 games in a row whilst he was here

Still though Didi there are only 2 reasons the owners should sack Potter now:

1. They now believe there is a very real chance we are getting relegated if we stick with Potter.

If they do now believe that, whether that is from talking to the various directors highered, players, fan engagement etc. Then they have to act. I don't agree with this notion, I don't believe we will go down, however what I think on it does not matter, it is what they think, and if they think we are going down with Potter here then that is too big a hit to the pocket and they need to act.

2. They believe they have a replacement that will come in and win the CL, and don't believe Potter will.

They have been talking to top level manager who has a record as a winner who they now firmly believe will for sure turn us in to CL winners. Huge major trophy in year one, CL football and the money that goes with it. Again if they believe that they have to act. I don't  believe there is a manager out there that takes this lot on to win the CL, but again is what they believe.

Otherwise if they believe neither of those things why sack Potter now? If you are now thinking he is not your guy anymore instead of rushing it like with TT taken the season, have your directors in the know you want Potter out and sound out to find your best option, your own ETH, so you don't end up with someone who either does not fit with your ethos, or is a loser, or both, and have to do this all again.

It might sound way off to some, but bare me out, were all expecting small progressive steps in our performances and results, but it's quiet possible that an out of form team can click together in one game, and then go on a good run, sometimes it happens with a new manager, or new players, or a change in tactics or formation. A most memorable example was when Conte was manager, we were on a very poor run, we went to Arsenal, was 3-0 down and Conte changed the formation in defence and we came back to 3-3, then we went on our best ever premier league win streak and won the league.

Yes but..Potter has changed nothing other than at least 5 players every game. Tactically inept, no balls to make big in game calls, no balls to drop out of form players and keeps going to the well of out of form players to try and bail him out.   99% of the managers before him were winners, decent players and had respect, even FSW. But what do the players see when they look at poor old Graham, a winner? No, A former player who's won a decent trophy? No; so what is going to excite them, encourage them, make them believe...Nothing that I can see if I was sat in that dressing room. He can't keep dining out on 'we hope things get better, we hope to improve and its just been bad luck forever.

With Conte the players all bought into the project and process of changing the tactics, and set up; once they realized that they were virtually unbeatable with his tactical nous, together with his guidance and decision making they never looked back.   Potter has not shown, or even hinted that he has an ounce fortitude, vision and experience of what Jose, Conte, Carlo had to make this group of players into winners, or at the very least compete week in week out.  The excuses he used to date are simply lame; injuries aside the players he had at his disposal should of been capable of beating Fulham x 2, WHam, Forest, Southampton....he's simply weak and out of his depth and if this continues he will loose the dressing room and the rest of whatever fan base he has left; he needs to leave gracefully and find a team where he can continue his career.  Not necessarily his fault but Chelsea Football Club isn't it.

The only reason why Chelsea was worth 3 billion is because of all the trophies it has. After a while the new owners will realise that winning trophies do matter. With the winning mentality Roman instilled in the Chelsea fans, I dont think we the fans will be quiet if Chelsea becomes like Spurs and its the fans that add value to the club

The reason it was worth 3 billion is the brand we have built, the league we play in, the location of the club (Prime West London), and the potential we have. Very little about our trophy cabinet:

It is why spurs would likely go for the same or more than us.
