It’d be a disgrace if we can’t get Caicedo after everything that’s happened past few hours. He’s done everything he could to join us, all we have to do is match Liverpool’s offer, how hard can it be?

Make it Lavia to us as well so we have those 2 plus Enzo and Santos.

I have no qualms in losing Adams if Ugochukwu is seen as the squad option now. 

Some reports say Liverpool are going for Valverde since Real Madrid needs to sell a bit. Not sure if this means they lost Caicedo.

Rumours around Gallagher either going to Brigghton in the deal, or being sold to offset this extra hit to our FFP. Trev also set to be sold.

This is the price to offset spending such an amount on Caicedo.  Is he worth the money no, but is not our money right. 

More importantly though is he worth sacrificing Conor and Trev, who are Chelsea boys through and through?

Neither looks like being too involved this season.

If we get what we are asking then both will go.

I think we have plenty of cover for Trevor. Need to keep Gallagher I think with Nkunku out

All very odd....

We have been in the race for ages. An extra £10m or even £20m, should not mean we have to "panic sell" Conor or trev, or pull out of Tyler adams.

With the money from Kai, Mase, Mendy and K2,  plus the money saved from ngolos wages, we should not need to be scratching around to raise funds, simply because the dippers came in to try and scupper our plans.

Would still be happy with Lavia and maybe Veratti🫡

So was mason supposedly...I think for most that means less and less. From my side neither player looks up to being at the standard required to challenge for top spots from their games to date. Will be decent squad backups at Chelsea but reasonable starters at lower levels. We finished 12th last season 10 points above relegation not 6th or 5th. We need to improve significantly. If they need to move on and not part of the plans then I'm all for getting some decent money in now rather than after them sitting on the bench for a season.

Brighton clearly didn't want to sell to us and no doubt had the hump when they thought they could get Colwill. They think they are too big for rivalry with palace now and think we are their rivals. Hope we f**king hammer them when we play them this season and before that, hammer the dippers on Sunday.

Still think the price tag was way too high and knowing our luck he would have picked up a bad injury after a couple of weeks so f**k 'em. Let's move on.................

 

When it comes to the fans, I think you're right - a lot of people percieve Chelsea as the main rivals now. And Roberto De Zerbi is a bit of a crowd pleaser and won't mind f**king around with Chelsea verbally.

But higher up, I think relations are good. Todd Boehly and (powerful) Brighton CEO Paul Barber know each other since before and frequently sit together at fancy schmancy events. 
And while Marc Cucurella may have failed so far, he could still turn out great. Graham Potter could also have turned out great if given more time. Rob Sanchez might be a success. A lot of money were spent on these and so far you have had pretty much no return from these signings.

It is easy to forget though that there's also lesser known deals, such as Zak Sturge and alleged mega-talent Shim Mhueka, moving to Chelsea, and without much friction. Having a first crack at players from a very good academy could prove worth more than any money you've spent so far.

Ignoring that Chelsea and Brighton fans don't really like each others clubs right now, I think business relations are fine (or better).

Surely if that is the case, it means you've given up on Moises and he'll join Liverpool, presumably.

But might still be time to put that £100m+Colwill offer on the table...
