Seems like a willing runner, but I haven't seen much to suggest he's a truly top tier talent.

Not sure that's necessary at the moment.  The bar isn't that high tbh and he seems comfortable there. If its a level playing field he probably should be starting 

To be playing midfield and have that position in his profile on the Chelsea website and fit in ok at left back shows great maturity.

Don’t know what defenders think when they get over looked for young player who is a midfielder 

Should be starting games. Whether at LB or in midfield nobody is playing well enough that he should not be given chances. 

Clearly a great prospect but would be far better after a season in the championship. Fantastic feet, great energy, keeps his cool but  (I)got through on goal but  missed a good chance to score in each of his games and (2) needs to work hard on his defending.

We've got two really great LB prospects in Hall and Ian Maatsen, no idea why we needed to splash 60m on Cucurella

Play him at CM.

He’s raw but I like him. He will make mistakes but I think he’s shown enough.

He is also more of a mid fielder than a fb .. reminds me a bit of Saul in his versatility.

If used properly I can see him becoming another Zinchenko. Maybe even better given how much he gets forward. 

I agree Zinchenko is the obvious comparison. I think Hall would be better in the middle though. Would be fantastic for Pep as one of his inverted full backs.

Lewis hall has made spending 60m on cucu looks stupid. This is what I don't understand about us. 

Why spend big on this average player when you have academy player this good. I don't expect Hall to unseat chilwell if Chilwell is healthy but he is good enough as part of rotation. 

Great performance. Have to remind myself he is only 18. Lots to learn but that’s to be expected - really impressed. 

If I recall TT gave him his debut in the Fa Cup - while only a year or so ago he’s definitely bulking up a little.

I am excited about him more than anyone else from our academy since Reece he’s going to be top class and will eventually become number one.
He’s just 18 and playing at a very high level already and will only get better. I like the fact GP trust him which is a massive boost for his confidence.
When he makes mistakes he gets put right back in that’s how you build a young player you expect mistakes but the way they learn is putting them back.

Will be a top player for us.

This is what I am thinking now, we had him but went and got cucu maybe Tuchel wanted him then you sack Tuchel. 
 

With Mudryk on the wing him and Hall will be our 2 blonde bombers down the left wing, Chilwell and Sterling will need to work hard to get back in the team, then we have James and Pulisic/Ziyech down the other wing. 

Potter can play as many formations as he likes, as long as it includes two wingers every game 😆

And spending 40m on Koulibaly whilst giving him 300kpw on a 5 year deal even stupider when we have Colwill, who looks the business now and is set for an England call up. 

One of my biggest criticism of Tuchel was his way in the market and his ability to actually develop players vs needing ready made ones. Ian Maatsen just did an interview where over the summer he said Tuchel told him he was proud of his development at Coventry but it was only days later Maatsen got the sense he wouldn't be at the club and would be set for another loan. 

Hall, Maatsen, and Colwill would've saved us 100m.

Tuchel said in one of his interview that he is not really a patient person and he want to win now. I completely understand his view as a manager and this is where you need a strong relation between manager and director of football.

If Colwill is outperforming Badiashile he will be in the team ahead of him it really is that simple.

Brighton has been fantastic for Colwill because they actually play him. I would safely bet at least 80% of Chelsea fans wanted him to stay and learn off of both Silva and Koulibaly, and given Koulibaly's horrid form Colwill would've easily displaced him had the manager given him trust. Much like Chalobah pre World Cup. 

Nathan Ake has a 44% tackle succession this season and has worse defensive metrics than Chalobah. Where are you getting he is among the best CBs this season? 

Mudryk is primarily a LW so not sure how he gets into Hutchsinson's way (who I have doubts will even make an impact right now given his physicality). CHO won't ever be good enough if he can't even make an impact in the Bundesliga. 

 

Aside the fact you forgot Hall displacing 60m Cucurella, Badiashile and Colwill remains up in the air. If both remain their good form it provides a good headache for the manager along giving the possibility in playing them both if Fofana continues to be injury prone.

Perhaps. But you "forgot" that Tuchel developed Chalobah into a very good player despite nobody having any hope for him.

And let's not forgot. Tuchel is the guy who took Reece and Mason from good talents too very, very good players (world class in Reece's case) and European Champions. So tell me again how he didn't develop?

The same Chalobah that Tuchel wanted to loan out and bring in Kounde back in 2021? Was only when Christensen started throwing a contract fit that Tuchel finally started to play him. I won't ever forget Tuchel preferring Azpilicueta at RCB all those times as well. 

James I give Tuchel credit for but let's be honest, James's trajectory was always going up no matter the manager that was coaching him. Chilwell would've been a better example. Mount had one good year under Tuchel but has regressed/stalled under him the same amount of time.

That no one will be "in his way" it he hits the heights expected.

And even factoring that out it's a squad game these days, as we've brutally found out these last couple of season's.
