"All bar 1 in this era have been a success?"Not quiteNeto, Joao Pedro, Cucurealla, Caicedo, Enzo = success (Neto borderline, but he's been a better success for me than anyone on the Roman list)Nkunku, Lavia, Fofana, = flops, but can imagine injuries had a part to play. I think Nkunku would have been a flop regardless though. And probably Fofana too as he's absolutely braindead.Mudryk, = flop.Pulisic was FAR better than Neto.
May 21May 21 I like him on the ball, he plays it forward, not just sideways. Off the ball he needs a lot of work though. He is awful at set pieces and loses his man every time, and I feel he is weak in the tackle sometimes.

Neto and Pulisic were basically the same frustrating player with f**k all output and tonnes of ability. I'd edge Neto over Pulisic because Pulisic was really really sh*te outside of the covid window. Neto has just been consistently average, but he plays.

We would of won the FA Cup final too had he not tear his hamstring. Pulisic's peak with us just dwarfs anything Neto has done in a Chelsea kit.

Best ignored if they annoy.

May 21May 21 He’s always been in the ‘not for sale at any price’ tier for me. I know he’s not had a very good season but who has, apart from Joao Pedro?I always saw the massive potential in him and I think we will start to reap the rewards next season under Alonso.I also really hope Joao Pedro stays. If he can score as many as he did this season, imagine how good he could be under a functional team.

July 5Jul 5 Apparently he wants to leave to be able to start at man utd. This is a sale that we might regret if it happens

He should be starting alongside Caicedo ... and ahead of Enzo of course.Santos is one of the few players in the squad that has actually demonstrated leadership qualities in his football career to date as well (I can remember some clips from the Brazilian youth sides that made me sit up and think "yes this guy could be our captain one day ... ")

July 5Jul 5 I really don’t like the idea of letting him go, and to Man Utd, and for just £50m.He has 4 years left on his contract!Do you think Man Utd would ever sell Kobi Manoo to us for £50m with 4 years left, no chance. We would happily sell Santos for £50m but won’t sell Gusto for anything under £75m or Enzo for anything under £120m.As good as having Xabi Alonso as our manager is the board will still make moves to stop us progressing as a football team. All our rubbish players are still here yet we will sell promising players or academy players for pure profit.I know it’s early days in the transfer window but I don’t see any moves yet that will take us from the middle of the table to a top 4 team. This sale could really come back to haunt us.Sell him but keep injury plagued midfielders Lavia and Essugo.Someone make it make sense please, because I honestly don’t understand it.
July 5Jul 5 Enzo is probably staying, we're going to be signing someone like Wharton or Scott. We need to fund that transfer because of the financial ineptitude of our owners. Makes sense to me if we can get 50mI don't think we will regret it personally, I like the idea of Andrey santos more than what I've actually seen of him in a chelsea shirt

Infuriates me , absolutely amazes me how one club can buy so much rubbish and yet none of the people responsible are ever held accountable.

Where as it’s also likely he will still want to leave ideally and we could get caught short by selling right at the end of the window and then struggling to replace him.

Not withstanding the bang average performances, he also doesn't want to be here ! He's like that expensive jacket you've had hanging in your wardrobe for years that you never wear but won't sell for what it is now worth as you paid so much for it ... it's time to move on ! Bin Enzo and build around Caicedo and Palmer, who are the real talents that they've bought up to now ...
July 6Jul 6 Again, Santos needs another season with us, we were looking at Xhaka... Is Santos not already a blue and ready to do a similar role Xhaka would play? Should be in the side alonsige Caicedo and Enzo consined to the scrapheap. Again, we're selling players to promote bomb squad players back into the set up.
