He was alone for pretty much the whole game, when everybody else was hiding he always showed up, he made some mistakes of course, but it's really hard to stand out when you don't have any decent link-up plays to make (except for the few times he can do that with Joao Felix).

I like him and think he’ll be a great player but can’t do it on his own. RLC was awful today. At half time had to check the net to see if he was definitely in our start line.

I really pity him at this point. 

The players we signed in January must be wondering if they've made a massive mistake.

People are going to start thinking he's sh*t, a flop, and a rip-off soon, just like all of the other players we've signed. 

It's devastating, it's never good for a new signing with a big price tag to not hit the ground running. 

It's not his fault that there is no system and no pattern of play, he's really trying to provide help while we don't have possession and also he really tried to make something happen in the final third but it's all improvisation.

I honestly thought it was Enzo and then Felix. 

RLC was a ghost. No presence. 

A worryingly Jorginho-esque performance today. Would like to think we will see a completely different player when he has Kante alongside him rather than the hapless RLC.

He didn't have a bad match at all, you could see him trying to do it all as he was all over the pitch but it ultimately didn't matter. 

 

He hasn't let anyone down since he joined. The worry is if we keep up this runs, only a matter of time before his people start talking he's too good to be at a club. Regardless how many years you got the guy on contract, if his mindsets changes the performance will drop, and more troubles followe

I'm not worried about his mindset, he came out fighting last week and clearly not too downbeat despite this run.

I am worried he gets scapegoated however, as much as he's been class inspite of everything a British record signing starting with a major winless streak is a dream sensational headline angle.

Players tend to have bad games when they are trying to do it all, Gallagher being a prime example. He should have left that ball to Kepa, but instead tried to iniate an attack with a risky, stupid pass that ultimately lead to Spuds first goal. Jorginho would have solved that situation a lot better (with a sideways pass).

@JJ8There's a difference between making an obvious mistake and taking a needless risk. Somebody needs to tell Enzo not to make such passes in the PL.

The “grass is greener” mindset was on full display pre Enzo arrival. “Once we get Enzo in”… He was going to solve all our problems.I’m sure he’s great. But the way it’s unfolding is just further proof that the players aren’t the problem, that any discussion of players is almost moot right now and people shouldn’t be using the current mess to lay into their favourite targets.

He's been very good individually and we've got worse, madness.

Hmm I don't think it is a surprise that Enzo does not solve our problem. You can tell after his debut that there are lot of stuff that he need to improve on. 

If you compare him to jorgi, technically Enzo is light years ahead of jorgi but in term of understanding the game, jorgi is so much better. It is not a surprise though. He is 22 and this is his 2nd season in Europe. 

Let's say we sign casemiro instead of Enzo, you will see improvement to our team immediately.

Getting dribbled past more than any other player in Europes Top 5 leagues btw.

Thankfully this place is very level headed about DM's being easily bypassed!

It's the manager, not the player. Enzo is by far the best signing we could get and now you can see a clear difference between him and the rest, RLC is only playing PL football because he's from our academy, otherwise he wouldn't make it.

Potter dragging all the new talents down to his level.

Enzo is not and has never been DM, the only time he played as DM was in the national squad during the WC but he was much better surrounded.
