Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!

Featured Replies

I personally still don't see it. In games like last night against Barca, yes, he does well, but when he's got to battle in the midfield, he's an impersonation of Jorginho. I'd rather see Santos-Caicedo start regularly and play Enzo in some games in CL.

Felt like he always made the right pass outside of a few miscommunication/timing issues with Neto and Estevao for balls in behind. Got an assist but very unlucky not to come away with a goal.

Superb performance from him, especially in the first half.

There is, but not in a central midfield role, he simply hasnt got the positional discipline to play there, he leaves his partner hanging far too often.

Think that’s on Maresca. We’ve seen before in some matches Enzo is actually strict with his central positioning alongside Caicedo.

Both Maresca and Scaloni realized he’s better further forward vs deeper where he actually isn’t press resistant and can’t dribble worth dick.

Santos can start with Fernandez and Caceido for certain games if Maresca stops accommodating Gusto , Gusto must play right back when Reece is unavailable and thats it. There's no need for him to start if Reece is playing because we have enough specialist quality midfielders.

We all have to agree today that @Gol15 is onto something and @just is wrong. Rice, the pikey boy, was dog sh*t and Enzo was much better today. And I’m glad because I tucking hate that pikey c**t.

Well, I don't know about that, but certainly both of them were, without doubt, miles better than Caicedo today!

I thought all 3 were pretty sh*t today to be honest. Enzo was bullied out of the game in the first half. Caicedo was way too pumped up and Rice looked like he was missing life at Cobham.

I thought the midfield was ours, even with 10 men. James was immense, made Rice look like a West Ham level player. Enzo was ok, certainly better than Rice, and showed more personality. And, comparing Caicedo to Rice, red card or not, is undoubtedly pure madness. Rice is not that much (neither is Enzo mind you), and today he was sh*te. Long may it last.

Anyone know a site where you can get individual player stats? The in-depth ones?

I thought he did a good job of winning the ball back/harrassing players, putting players through and holding onto the ball. But then again reading above paints a different picture. I was at the game and you never get the same view when watching on tv - let along replays and all that.

Totally contrasts with how it felt in the stadium. Others around me were saying how well he was playing but the above looks pretty crap.

He certainly had a positive effect on the team despite whatever the stats are saying. I thought he had a good game.

So overrated it's cringe to even talk about him, even after the red card our squad played better, just unlucky not to win... Fully respect your opinion about basmatiRice being dogsh*t London is blue

That is what £105m gets you these days. Contrast his performance with Elliott Anderson v Brighton

The last player to put up his numbers in a single match week was Modric back in 2011.

So we should sign up Elliot then?

Elliot Anderson & Adam Wharton are future legends for most people but I can't quite see it. Are they really any good?

Anderson is statistically one of the best midfielders in the PL this season. We will soon find out if they are any good; Wharton is rumoured to be Liverpool bound, and Anderson favours City over Utd.
