I have explained, Ad nauseam, why it isnt not.  You disagreeing with that logical and reasoned explaination doesnt make it any more or less true.

I have explained to you why it is a racist song.

I have explained to you why you are completely wrong.

More importantly, the black players in our team/squad know the song is racist and have called the song racist and that is what we should be talking about. That is a huge problem for the team/squad right now.

It is not more important. Someones opinion is not more important than somone else's fact.

The players absolutely have every right to be pissed off and offended.  It doesnt make it racist.

It was an inappropriate generalisation that disrespects the diverse backgrounds of French footballers, but it does not constitute racism. Any player who claims the song is racist is wrong, and misinterpreting or misunderstanding racism.

I dont expect footballers to be aware of the nuances,  but it’s critical to distinguish between behavior that is offensive and behavior that is explicitly racist.

Mislabeling offensive but non-racist actions as racist  (as in this case) can undermine genuine efforts to address and combat real instances of racism. Racism involves significant harm, prejudice, and discrimination based on race, which is not present in this instance.

Ok guys, at the risk of sounding like a second rate chair of a council committee, I think this topic has had a fair shake and everyone who wants to have a say has probably had plenty opportunity. Furthermore some very interesting and opposing views as you'd expect

However, as much as I'm not normally keen on shutting things down, it's now getting to the point of getting more personal than my dwarf porn collection and, like a 5 dollar whore, once that starts deteriorating it never recovers.

So locking this thread down now and ask that if the topic reappears when club action is or isn't taken we don't just repeat all the same arguments.

Opening this thread up again now as Enzo is still our player snd needs a thread, at the very least so we can discuss whether you'd let him drive your kids to school.

Can i ask we leave the race issue aside for now until there are any developments /outcome in terms of ongoing investigations. At that point it will of course be relevant to discuss.

Expecting to hear news next week that Enzo was involved in the bombing of Hiroshima.

He's only been accused of , and apologised for, singing that song. And live streaming it.

I usually blame our owners for anything and everything! 😂

The one thing which surprising is how the others have been let of completely scott free.. not even an apology..insane to say the least.

This is something I have been thinking about too. All of this Enzo did this and Enzo did that and Chelsea must do this, but what about the other players and their clubs?

I keep hearing "but Enzo recorded it and posted it online".....so? the others wilfully participated too.

All staying quiet and far away as possible.

The guy needs to make amends to his team mates and stay out of the news, smh. maybe as its gone international, football media will stay quiet too and let it all just die down.

And that he was one of Hitlers chief supporters.

My guess on the final punishments:

Argentina fined and players are ordered to attend re-education classes.

Enzo banned for 6 international matches, any other players proven to be involved also banned.

Argentina warned their fans chanting the song will result in no fans allowed matches at home, no away fans for away games, further fines, and points deductions possible.

Enzo will be fine by us and sent for re-education. The FA will match Fifas ban at least, giving Enzo a 6 to 18 matches ban from all domestic games. (I know is broad)

Uefa will match Fifas 6 game ban for the conference league/other European competition should we not play at least 6 conference league games.

Chelsea will be fined and deducted 10 points by the PL, reduced to 6 on appeal.

"Re-Education classes" oh that rings a bell for sure.
