December 16, 20241 yr Better from noni...he passed/crossed the ball a bit more but still needs work. He finally took some chances with his right foot again, still needs more practice. It's all part of his development and he's doing brilliantly and still on the right path.
December 16, 20241 yr His head just goes down with any pressure, only seems to see people with acres around him. If he had even decent vision, he'd be excellent
December 27, 20241 yr Author @Sconnie Blueany word on what "technical reason" Noni gave Big Enz to leave him out yesterday? Training poorly again?

December 27, 20241 yr Seems to have been a lot of falling outs between Maresca and Noni, wouldn't be surprised to see him sold if we get a big offer come in for him.

December 27, 20241 yr It would have more of an effect on Noni to sit him on the bench without playing, rather then dropping from the squad.
December 27, 20241 yr Squad harmony seemed to be really good, then the Mudryk failed drugs test happened, Madueke seems to have had a fall out with the manager, there are rumours of Felix and Nkunku being unhappy, and we have suddenly failed to win our last 2 games.

Also the injuries are now racking up again exposing the soft underbelly that the squad has. Two keepers, Guiu and George on the bench is dangerous level of depth to go into a Premier league match and a London derby

It's more like we have a few entitled, self absorbed young players with high maintenance levels of attitude. Madueke is a serial offender of public displays of attitude. Jackson the same, Felix also. Can easily see him falling out if it's not going his way. Nkunku I think is done, hates it here now and would do anything to get away. His body language screams it. But Caicedo is the best midfielder in the country, Lavia a close second when fit. Colwill, whilst also being a bit high maintenance, is developing into the CB leader we all hoped he would. Sanchez, much to disapproval of most of the fan base, has actually been putting in some solid performances. Oh and Enzo Fernandez is becoming the central midfield creator his price tag has been preventing him from being. I think team morale is as high as it as been at any time. Over time we need to keep renewing elements of this squad by maximising the profit on some and getting better replacements. Madueke I think is a prime candidate for this.
December 27, 20241 yr Honestly whenever one of you cites that 'piss' guy as a source I can't help but laugh. At first it's the name (obviously) but mostly it's that all he seems to do is repost stories from other sources. I assumed 'content' aggregation would all be done by AI by now? It's not like it requires any sort of qualitative judgement. In the future if I make something up or want some attention I will attribute it to my source and close friend 'sh*tty Phil'.
December 27, 20241 yr Anyway my good pal sh*tty Phil told me (he has sources in the club - he once sucked off Ron Gourlay for a kebab) that Madueke was dropped for reading out an inappropriate letter which insulted the folically-challenged from his Viz Christmas annual.
December 30, 20241 yr Lmao, Unless it's from the club or a rep of the club its not a "source", it's an opinion. Here's another opinion (or "source") that holds equal weight as the ones above. "Noni ate an undercooked turkey and has had the sh*ts since Christmas day." That statement is actually more likely than having a falling out with big Enzo! 😆 * if I was on twitter/x and can be bothered, with nothing else to do, I could post that and with enough followers it's not hard for it to make everyone's news feed. Beeb here I come! C'mon ppl! Edited December 30, 20241 yr by Simplymo
December 30, 20241 yr I mean Maresca said Veiga was dropped for the same reason as Madueke (technical reasons) so we can only assume it’s down to poor training ethic.

Yep, I'd take that as more likely than a falling out too! Maybe they indulged too much at Christmas! Maybe that's also the reason he didn't make more than one sub during the boxing day game! His bench were good to play but maybe not "berocca" good. Lol https://youtu.be/C9qFnfjg0hY?si=XmKMgk9pG-4rmufu Edited December 30, 20241 yr by Simplymo
December 30, 20241 yr Sometimes I think I am way too harsh on Noni, at least he works hard defensively but ultimately he is an attacker not a defender and performances like this just reinforce my beliefs that he will never become any better than he currently is.
December 30, 20241 yr I think he has a bit about him but he doesn’t help himself with shockers like today. Unfortunately they’re too frequent.
December 31, 20241 yr Author I wonder if the fallings out with Maresca means he is in the same "want to leave" camp as Nkunku.

I would bin him in the summer; partly because he is the easiest to sell, but also because I feel he has a low ceiling. I don’t think the other two are any better though; our wingers look a mess. Strange thing with him was Maresca championed his cause when he was put up for sale in the summer according to the papers, and started him as his first choice RW. His last two appearances would have pissed him off; appeared lackadaisical, and every time he was faced with a double team either passed it back or just crossed the ball hopelessly. December 31, 20241 yr No doubt he has talent, and he is prepared to do the defensive duties too, but for sure he lacks consistency. I don't think Maresca's public comments have helped him at all. Everything he has said about Madueke, could also have been said about Jackson's performances. It smacks of scapegoating. The hardman manager tactic won't work with Noni I feel. It needs a more mentoring approach. Good man managers like Redknapp and Venables could form a bond with wayward, (often lazy), but talented footballers and get them to run through brick walls for them and play to their maximum effort and potential. I also firmly believe all our wingers would look better if we had a proper centre-forward who could hold the ball up under pressure when needed and was also decent in the air. Neto is a good crosser of the ball, so is Madueke. But it's pointless because there is no centre-forward attacking those crosses.
December 31, 20241 yr At his best, how many wingers in the league are better than him? I wouldn't wager many disregarding the obvious names. He's ideal in this system and is still very young.
