Any players found to have ever listened too, or recited, rap lyrics face immediate suspension. Fans caught listening to rap music on their phones, (even if it is Rapper's Delight by the Sugar hill Gang), will be immediately ejected from stadiums. John Terry has already been found guilty.
February 1, 20233 yr If Cavani got a 3 game ban then they’ll apply that to Mudryk as well. You can imagine Arteta or Edu asking someone to search YouTube clips of him for something offensive.

Cavani was a United player when it happened and he did literally call somebody "negrito" Mudryk wasn't a Chelsea player, didn't single anybody out and call them something that would be perceived as racist, he just sang the lyrics to a song. If they ban or even fine him for that, he should appeal. Not just for Chelsea's sake either, but for his own. If it was me, there is no chance I would let the FA attack my character like that.
February 1, 20233 yr Of course the daily fail has the sordid details Mudryk and pal singing along to 'Freestyle' by 'Lil Baby' (have no clue about Rap so wont comment as to song selection) They are posing in front of a flash Audi convertible somewhere in Ukraine last July and now the FA the guardians of the public morale virtue are steaming in with an 8 match ban apparently !

Calling someone that doesn't mean anything bad, Cavani didn't actually offend the person by using that word at all, it's not comparable to what happens in the US culture and language so sadly he got punished for absolutely not doing anything wrong. You can argue that singing a song shouldn't get you banned either, regardless when a player sings it, specially since again, the player in question simply hasn't been a part of the Western culture. Common sense is getting more rare by the day.

If you think what cavani did was racist then what murdyk did was also racist. I don't think both are racist but that that is whole another story. The only defense in murdyk case is the fact that he wasn't a Chelsea player at that time.

February 2, 20233 yr The Stun/ Currant Bun reporting that he wont get banned just a letter from the FA reminding him of his responsibilities as a player. My prophecy of doom above may have been a bit premature......

It just shows his ignorance at the time as he decided to recite a word he shouldn't have said. Not to mention he isn't from the Western world so he probably isn't completely schooled on the history of the n-word. Cavani on the other hand actually said something offensive with intent.
February 2, 20233 yr If a word is in a song, it can and will be recited by people who like the song. You can't repeat offensive words in songs, take no offence from them as they're sung by black/mix race guys, then suddenly take offence if somebody of the wrong skin colour repeats it. Pathetic case over nothing, and if he gets in trouble for it it's an absolute sham. Although in hindsight, due to the touchy wimpy nature of people taking offence to anything, he should of used his brain and not posted it.

February 2, 20233 yr Wasn't it merely a cultural thing with regards to Suarez and Cavani? Without meaning to sound ignorant, since when is it right for another society/culture to stamp their authority by telling another society/culture that what they are doing is wrong?

My wife is Argentine and she says its very common to use the term negrito as a nickname for their black friends. Zero malice intent.

You think in the middle of a big game between massive rivals he suddenly chose to repetitively call him black as a jokey nickname with no malice? Come off it, that's as mornic as the scouse imbeciles excuses.

No he didn't. You can't literally translate the word from one language that has it fully loaded with unspoken meanings to another one, those meanings are lost in the other language, in the Spanish speaking world everyone use that same word and it only means the color and nothing else, people can say that to their loved ones that have black hair or eyes or whatever so it's not true that Cavani wanted to insult his own fan. Small fine and attend a course / (probably watch a video)
