January 18, 20233 yr Pretty sure he won't be on the initial 97k for long. Assume he had a good first season, agents be asking for a new contract, and the club will offer some kind of compromise, probably a new 7 years deal. Although I'd rather that than he can't adapt and just sit on 97k for 7 years. There are plenty of risks with the 7 years contract approach, a lot could happen to a player in a couple of seasons. I could see the reason Todd did it, to fast track the squad overhaul while we could, next season we will take a huge loss without CL and have little room for maneuvering. If we play smart to counter Liverpool's high line, Mudryk could have a great debut.

You can make a much more convincing argument we have the worst owners in football rather than the best. Todd has been a disaster , a whole lot of money thrown around generally to make us worse, on the pitch, in the dugout, in the medical department, negotiating transfers, the high wages we've given to old players particularly Koulibaly and Azpi and even publically with his 4-4-3 and north vs south Allstar game. He's a bit of a mad dog and I worry for the future of the club now more than ever given what we've seen from Boehly. I assume you'll have this opinion in 2 years time when we have a young settled with a settled manager and play style? Stop looking so short term.

If that includes challenging for the biggest titles (including the league) I would be a very happy man. If all we got is a young team that's playing decent football but end up finishing 6th every season then no thank you.

January 21, 20233 yr Took all of about 5 minutes to see we have a baller here. Not want to overhype him, but it’s clear to see this lad adds something we’ve been seriously lacking
January 21, 20233 yr Astounding the amount of negativity that surrounded this signing from fans. After years of watching Ziyech and Pulisic, his brief appearance was a breath of fresh air. He even made people who have been looking sh*t for awhile look good.
January 21, 20233 yr This is going to be tasty. I was against this signing but I think I will have to eat some humble pie. Edited January 21, 20233 yr by El regreso

I don't think people understand just how bad pulisic and Ziyech are. I honestly don't think either start for another team in the entire league We saw it with Felix as well as Mudryk today but any decent winger would be a massive breath of fresh air. Exciting to see actual quality wide players here Edited January 21, 20233 yr by TimesUpPotter
January 21, 20233 yr Looks like one hell of a player in such a short amount of time. Might have got ourselves a gem here.
January 21, 20233 yr All aboard the Mudryk train. Looks the business doesn’t he. Feels like Hazard 2.0 - gets people off their seat and terrifies the opposition

Cant wait to see Mudryk with Felix, Sterling, and James back in the team.
January 21, 20233 yr Looks like the hype is justified. He's going to be a lot of fun to watch over the coming years. Edited January 21, 20233 yr by Jezz
January 21, 20233 yr Hopefully he tears it up in the champions league. Mudryk Ballon D'or winner 2023, sounds good. Lol
January 21, 20233 yr Very promising debut. Quick, direct, did his defensive duties well. Should make watching Chelsea a lot more fun in future.

But his lack of pace, athleticism and upper body strength means he struggles massively to threaten the opposition even when he's got a defender 1 vs 1. Mudryk, Felix and Noni all look like they'll be able to do a lot more in that regard so we should be a lot more exciting.
January 21, 20233 yr It was only 35 minutes, but there were little things that stood out. His pace being obvious, but his passing looked crisp and he can spot holes in the oppositions defence. Dribbling in tight spaces was very good and even tracking back and playing a composed pass to get us out of trouble looked good. He already looks like a very exciting player.
January 21, 20233 yr Watching Chelsea has become such a chore, his cameo reminded me why we love the game; rose growing in the concrete as of now. …Pulisic keeping his number 10 shirt hostage Edited January 21, 20233 yr by Term_X
January 21, 20233 yr I think I enjoyed the 2nd video more just because it shows he can definitely handle the physicality of the prem.
January 21, 20233 yr Some flashes of skill and pace which were promising. I would like to have seen him more involved though. Also, couple of times towards the end of the game where liverpool broke and I was expecting him with his pace to get back and help and he was nowhere to be seen. Don't know if he doesn't have the work ethic to track back, which would be a slight concern.
January 21, 20233 yr He’s going the frighten the day lights out of defenders but also get kicked a lot. I do hope the refs protect him.
