I see all these stupid comparisons -"If Mudryk is worth 100M, then player X is worth this much, that much, etc."

And then I see the United fools talking about Mudryk.

Well let me say this - If that bang average fool Antony is worth 100M, then surely Mudryk is worth at least 1B and the price we actually paid for him was a bargain.

Antony is the left footed Willian and no matter how fast the pace of the match is, he will always slow down the game by taking a hundred extra irrelevant touches and trying cringe, useless skills.

Speaking of Robben what I have seen of Madueke (YouTube vids only) he reminds me of his style.

I don't see Hazard or Robben in Mudryk yet. They were fast but their main speed was in their thought processes. Not sure we have had anyone as fast as Mudryk in some time.  Maybe Grokjaer.

    I can see a bit of Robben in him, never seen anyone move so fast with a ball at their feet as Robben when we first signed him.

    go down the right, cut back inside, slot into far corner, and repeat...and repeat..Must have been so annoying defending to know exactly what was coming but having no way of stopping him. Other than boot him.

    Cut in on his left foot and curl it into the corner. Was the most one dimensional footballer but no one could stop him. Loved Robben and Duff, what an era that was. 

    Back to back titles in the 2 years Robben was here, he was a great player for us,

    If Mudryk and Noni can occupy and scare defenders anything similar to Duff and Robben it would be progress for us in a big way.

    You still have these deluded Arsenal 'legends' bitter about his move. Seaman and Wright claiming player went for the money. Have they not seen what the Athletic reported. Why don't they acknowledge the fact that their own beloved club messed about with the player and club, tried tapping him up and their complacency and arrogance cost them the deal. Nothing to do about the player choosing money. I acknowledge fully well the player wanted to join Arsenal which doesn't bother me, however he made it clear he is happy to join us should a move to Arsenal not materialise. Arsenal thought they could bully Shakhtar and get it on their terms and with the player doing this PR still with Arsenal and declaring his love for the team and manager etc. It did not work and we came in and the club dealt with us. As simple as that.

    It's obviously very early days, so pinch of salt and all that jazz.

    But I am very excited we might have a player teams need to game-plan for again. Since Hazard left the only player that comes close to fitting that bill for us has been James really, and he's a fullback.

     

    There were two instances against Liverpool in particular where I was very impressed. 

    1. When Gallagher lost the ball in the box and Mudryk took over, dribbling past Milner, Gomez, and Salah in a very tight area and having an attempt on goal. 

    2. When he won the ball against Fabinho and led a quick counter, where instead of playing the easy pass to Ziyech, he had the vision to find Carney through on goal.
