Again once it's in their bank account, how they spend it is up to them. It obviously won't say 'transfer money going to soldiers' in their accounts. I would suspect they are already distributing money to the effort.
January 16, 20233 yr Interesting video. The conclusion I got from this video is that Mudryk's price tag is almost certainly due to his apps in the CL, otherwise he'd be worth half the price. The Ukrainian league is lower level (obviously) than the PL and other top leagues in Europe, along with Shakhtar being one of the top two clubs in the Ukrainian league. A lot is basically what's been said a lot, such as he's raw, got bags of talent, but an unknown entity outside of a handful of CL appearances against teams who gave up space to Shakhtar.
January 16, 20233 yr In regard to not smiling, if I was playing football when my schoolmates were off getting shelled I doubt if I’d be smiling that much. great to see the money being donated. That is somehow appropriate I think.

January 17, 20233 yr Quote Adam Crafton @AdamCrafton_ EXCLUSIVE with Shakhtar CEO Sergei Palkin, who reveals how Chelsea beat Arsenal to Mudryk. Total bid “exactly” same but speed of payments faster + add-ons more achievable Shakhtar rebuked Arsenal for contacting Mudryk in October without permission So all this bollock from Arsenal about them being unhappy with the way we signed him ad it turns out weve not gone in and threw money at them, its the same value as Arsenal and they were the ones who ballsed it by upsetting Shakhtar with an illegal approach of the player.
January 17, 20233 yr Would be rather funny if he turns out to be an instant hit and Arsenal fans get agitated by the fact they could of landed him if they didn't piss off Shaktar.

Yep - he is going to rip TAA a new one.... ....For the first 3 mins until he does his acl and gets taken off for the rest of the season. Only to lose all pace on his return, get dropped and then do a bogarde for the remaining 8 years of his contract. But wow....what a first 3 mins!

January 18, 20233 yr I never fancied leao for Chelsea and the sterling comparison is stupid. At this stage of sterlings career. A better comparator is sako. Edited January 18, 20233 yr by ozboy
January 18, 20233 yr Reports that the contract he's on is £97,000 p/w. Great bit of business if true.

Ask any rival fan and they'll tell you it's £105m and £220k p/w. Boehly and co have actually done a fantastic job so far in building a team for the future. I imagine come 2024/25 season we're gonna have one hell of a squad with Casadei/Santos/Chukwuemeka/Hutchinson(?), Hall all playing larger roles. Am i wrong in saying behind City we might have the best owners in football?

Not that I have a major issue with that but what i've heard is that the owners are going for a lower base salary with significant bonuses for games/goals and so on.

All helps for FFP so that's fine with me. If they deliver they can happily have more money each week.

January 18, 20233 yr Heard one interesting debates that Mudryk is used to deep defending and counter attacking. His strength is his speed so there might be concerns whether he’ll be suited to a slow possession based team? Weve done it before with Werner and Lukaku. All speed merchants.
January 18, 20233 yr Potter's team is and style is not possession based so we can expect Mudryk to have plenty of space to run into. Again I don't think that is our main problem. We have plenty of pace in Pulisic and Havertz..we lack the 'Cesc' who can play them in.
