January 15, 20233 yr "Chelsea's co-owner Behdad Egbali and director of global transfers Paul Winstanley flew into Antalya in Turkey on Saturday, did the deal, then took Mudryk back to the UK with them on their private jet" I don't know whether to be impressed at the level of clinical dealing, or concerned about kidnapping...

January 15, 20233 yr Can’t say the owners aren’t backing Potter with these signings, looks to be a real top talent, just really hope there is a cm and a right back after this.

Can’t see the Felix deal happening, he occupies the same space as Nkunku. It will be Murdyk Nkunku Sterling behind a 9. If Sterling can’t get his act together, we might look in the market for a RW. Might be why we are after Madueke, problem is it will be difficult to shift Sterling’s mad wages. No club on the continent will be interested as they feel English players are overrated. Mount will need to get his act together quickly cos I can’t see where he fits as a starter with these big money signings and his wage demands. Edited January 15, 20233 yr by ducavis

Never know what is true but apparently our owners have let it slip to their media contacts that they are "very confident" in agreeing a deal with Atletico for Felix to sign permanently. Jan on his Football Therapy podcast quoted some media sources about this. Also a counter point to Mudryk only wanting Arsenal. As was stated before we got involved in this Mudryk is a boyhood Shaktar fan, and has been with them since he was 6. He was only going to leave on a deal to make Shaktar happy. It was not for love he wanted Arsenal, nor that he comes here. Shaktar is his club and he wants what is best for them, while moving on to further his career knowing no top level players can stay in that league.

Jokes aside, it was more the fact that in that system Grealish can develop and not be the ‘fall guy’, under less pressure. At Arsenal, Martinelli wouldn’t be dropped, Murdyk could ease his way into the team. He actually compared him to Messi stylistically in regards to particular elements of his game. De Zerbi has been the most impactful manager in his career thus far, imagine the scenes if we broke into Brighton once more and linked those two again.

January 15, 20233 yr So this guy has scored 12 goals in the last 4 years in all competitions in the Ukraine league and he’s 22. How on earth is he worth £90mill??? He’s no better than Anthony Gordon whose scored 7 goals in 2 years in the PL and is a year younger and could have been bought for £10mill! Boehly & co actually dont have a clue what their doing. January 15, 20233 yr So much negativity around the deal and somewhat understandable, considering the area of the pitch we actually need to strengthen but if we cut the fat, sometimes it’s just a case of who’s available. This guy is the archetypal scouting pick, hence why Arsenal and their ‘begrudgingly’ elite eye for talent had their sights on him, it makes us jacked in attacking areas squad wise but you can imagine Paul Winstanley and co just telling Boehly to pay and don’t speak.

Even though our midfield should be priority, the club isn’t going anywhere with pulisic, ziyech and havertz. Sterling I can see improving when James is playing behind but I have no hope for the other 3.
January 15, 20233 yr 21 years old, played 40 something games and scored 12 goals in the Ukraine league ( with all due respect to their league), now he's worth 90M? Even at 50M is a rip off, we just got into a bidding war and decided to go over the top since Arsenal just happens to be the opponent ( can't beat their on the field so let's out bid them off field). The 7 years deal is just offset the FFP, a few years on loan if the players don't cut it. Arsenal will just move on and find another 50M player, while we will be in serious debt with mad spending and NO european football next year.

Mudryk coming in doesn't change anything. A CM would bring immediate change

January 15, 20233 yr As someone who always watches the ukrainian league, I can say that this guy is a baller.... ...who am I kidding....i have never heard of him.
