It's interesting for me because all of the attacking quality in this team has pretty much come from Kante winning the ball back high or from the wing backs. With all three injured we look toothless. You wonder what an extra winger will add but hey let's hope he does well.

400m to have a worse squad than we had last year is pretty hilarious, but that's American management for you. 

7 year deal which makes sense why the fee is the way it is. I still hope we can get a decent CM this window. But I will admit that the forward line needs jazzing up. Right now we do not have goal threats up top. I am hoping that Mudryk can help with that along with Felix. Havertz, Pulisic, Ziyech has been too stale for a couple seasons now. They are getting comfortable doing the least amount of work. Hopefully this signing proves that they are not infallable and can be replaced if they aren't putting in enough work.

We need the right midfielder though, not just any kind. Not easy to find in this window. I would have been an advocate for Enzo Fernandez going by what people have said about him, but the price is too steep. As someone else said, which I was confused about at first, the deal for Fernandez is a difficult one due to the price needing to be paid up front.

His acceleration is good. Drives the ball forward, plays with confidence. He's actually a perfect Arsenal player lol hope we don't ruin his confidence.

Sometimes billionaires forget all the good business acumen that made them billionaires originally. There appears to be no cohesive strategy in our recruitment, taking into account needs and a plan to bringing all together. He possibly is a good player but at 100m you expect a world beater, unless Todd has seen something in him that can play RB or DM.

Just curious, what is “that’s American management” predicted on? Assume simply Chelsea. 

This transfer seems really high for a relatively unproven player. High risk.

Fabrizio has said Mudryk has been promised to go straight in to the first team (not hard now right) and be retarded as an important player (for 100mill I hope so!) Plus being sold on the project through lots of cash.

He was dreaming of Arsenal and "desperate" to go there, however they told Shaktar they would not pay their terms and shaktar told him they would not accept an Arsenal offer if they did not, so either go to Chelsea or stay here and see what offers you have in the summer.

Yeah, fair examples.  The prior page put this as a Hollywood signing - curious how this pans out. I’m all for the youth signings we continue to make - the marque ones so rarely work out for us.

Doesn't really matter, if Arsenal was after him too and if we're willing to pay alot, there are less chances that he doesn't work out. What we need is more goals, that alone helps the whole team.

Watching some of the individual highlight clips from particular matches he has played you can assume he is probably at about a similar level to Pulisic when he joined. I think his crossing and switching play might be a bit better, but that is a small sample size. 

To me they’ve seen enough of all the current attackers and will ship them out. Retooling the attack, perhaps bar Sterling

Wouldn’t matter if we have no players that can play/pick the pass. We were better off using the money we spent on Felix/Mudryk to retool our midfield. Doesn’t even have to be Enzo Fernandez, Eduard Spertsyan (Krasnodar), Enzo Le Fée (Lorient), Bennacer (Milan) are all brilliant alternatives.
