Joking aside - a mate of mine who is working in Warsaw has seen him 3 times (SD have been playing their champions league home games in warsaw) and said he looks very handy. I and I have just finished playing a lazy sunday morning game of fifa 23 with my 11 yr old boy - and he said The lad was electric fast on fifa 🤣 What could possibly go wrong?!

Even at 50M is a rip off, we just got into a bidding war and decided to go over the top since Arsenal just happens to be the opponent ( can't beat their on the field so let's out bid them off field). The 7 years deal is just offset the FFP, a few years on loan if the players don't cut it. Arsenal will just move on and find another 50M player, while we will be in serious debt with mad spending and NO european football next year. I find it hard to believe that there are no good wingers part from 1 young talent that is already scouted by Arsenal. Sounds like we don't really do much of any real scouting, the club makes life a lot harder for itself by having a process that is comparable to going through twitter about transfer gossip in order to find a transfer target... Gotta rebuild smartly, I have a pla. oH waiT Arsenalo is buying an obscure winger from the Ukraine?! Outbid Hah yes! Edited January 15, 20233 yr by Gol15
January 15, 20233 yr Another ten/wide player? It means that the latest three transfers has almost the exact same profile (Felix, Mudryk, Nkunku) - and we already have Havertz who does his best work in that position. Weird. Reminds me of Everton all those years ago, when they signed like 5 10’s in the same transfer window. Its a cool power move though, and one that will piss off Arsenal fans immensely. Ill give Boehly a few kudos points for that Edited January 15, 20233 yr by AndyDowsleftflank

If Sterling can’t get his act together, we might look in the market for a RW. Might be why we are after Madueke, problem is it will be difficult to shift Sterling’s mad wages. No club on the continent will be interested as they feel English players are overrated. Mount will need to get his act together quickly cos I can’t see where he fits as a starter with these big money signings and his wage demands. I have a theory, based on absolutely nothing whatsoever, that Potter isn't having Sterling. I can easily see Sterling being moved on at some point and, dare I say it, I could see him going to Spuds as I don't think Arteta will have a lot to do with us for a while.
January 15, 20233 yr Just spent some time watching Donetsk in this years champions league against Leipzig, Real Madrid and Celtic. In the extended highlights he looked consistently good. Good control, accurate shooting and a decent turn of pace. his Donetsk team mates were generally hopeless so he’ll feel right at home. Edited January 15, 20233 yr by ozboy
January 15, 20233 yr I think a squad overhaul is happening right now. It’s the only explanation for this sighing.

January 15, 20233 yr 100m Euros package for a player very few people have even heard of ? This must be some sort of covert CIA backed US funding for the Ukrainian war effort LOL

It’s one thing not wanting him, the club will soon find there is no market for him because of the ridiculous wages he is on. Spurs is out of the question; he is way out of their budget, isn’t Kane their highest earner on £250k/w. Same applies to Arsenal. Boehly is going to have a hard time shifting these ridiculous wages for these players he has signed if they don’t perform.

I suspect we will have to move them on at rock bottom fees to make the overall package attractive for the buying clubs. But its a valid point, if you're going to pay North of 250k a week there is a whole raft of players better than him.
January 15, 20233 yr All in on this one, as with Fernandez. They’re clearly after young emerging talent and rebuilding the team. Clearly midfield needs to be addressed, but that feels as much a case of who is currently available. This guy might be a footballer that gets people out of their seats again - we need some of that. Felix did that with his few touches, and shows how poor many of our players are. Potter is struggling, but maybe Jose was on to something with his eggs and omelette speech. Get this over the line! Drogba (£24m was huge back then) and Alisson two prime examples.

January 15, 20233 yr So it looks like the fees are initial payment of £66m that could rise to £88m if all clauses are met. So as usual nowhere near the ridiculous figures banded about. Same as most deals we make lately with the media and twatter f**kwits inflating figures, and unfortunately the gullible believe them.

Think part of those add ons is us winning the Champions League. Currently they may well have put in an add on for when he orbits the earth in a NASA shuttle.

Even so, £66m on a player who has 12 career goals and only 65 senior appearances seems utterly bizarre. I'm seriously concerned about the amount of money being spent of late, it's like nothing I have seen at any other club and I don't see how this is sustainable. It's not like we are even doing anything to recoup the money spent. This is more than Barcelona's spending that landed them in the sh*t they are in now.
