He is playing like someone who does not want to be here, would not surprise me if he does not. This is the Chelsea he grew up in.

A striker won’t solve anything. We are completely devoid of ideas. Put Haaland in this team and he would struggle.

We need a world class manager. I’ve seen how Bayern fans reacted after last night and they were extremely furious about the sacking of Nagelsmann. Makes me think he must be pretty decent. Get him sorted asap.

I live in reality. This team are a disgrace and we are in free fall mode.

Players don't look arsed.

What's the point in deluding yourself to the point of ridicule?

Absolutely, the whole season has been a sh*tshow but as a "fan" you have to have hope. That's all we have.

the yank owners have had their pants pulled right down ,we've really been sold some pups.... Joao Felix is a choir boy that doesn't belong in the squad .... Is it not obvious that Mount and Gallagher offer power and threat

Kova way passed his best, got to go, keep Zakaria he's a fighter,  Silva, Enzo and James our best players but what a mess really, not enjoyable to watch

Going to the Brighton game Saturday, we need to put them right to the sword

I wish Blue Pete can prove his true faith in hope and as a proper devoted zealous fan puts a grand on our progression past RM. However, somehow I suspect he wont bet a penny unless he is totally divorced from reality and common sense.

Are you including the match going fans in that then? because most of them seemed to have been stunned into silence all season. They can feel what is on the horizon.

I still think with a top manager we'll be fine, we just decided to hire a mediocre one then replace with an incompetent one. A worse squad than this battered Real at the Bernabeu under Tuchel

Interesting. The Bayern fans have turned on Tuchel already then?

Thierry Henry was spot on, which is completely reflective on this season alone and being managed by manager's who are completely out of their depth.

When Vinicius Jr. has the ball, you can see what he wants to do and you can see what his teammates need to do. They are together. When Sterling has the ball, he doesn't know what he wants to do and his teammates don't know what they need to do. They are completely on their own.

As @Argo has mentioned countless of times, we need a proper man managing coach. One that micro manages intricate sequences of play in every phase of the game.

Yes, as they said in commentary, Real Madrid were strangely subdued tonight. Nothing to do with us, if they had been on it, it could easily have been done tonight. On at least 2 occasions we went head to head with them at the back. 2 v 2 agaisnt Vinicius and Benzema, talk about riding your luck.

I saw them tear Barca apart 4-0 last week, we got off lightly tonight

What a pathetic performance.

Front two anonymous, but hard to blame them when the ball was given back to RM after 1.21 milliseconds every time.

Poor poor poor.

Clubs a mess right now, and if the next manager isn't the right choice it could be curtains.

Fair play to the hard core goers. They have def had the sh*t end of the stick this season. Gotta keep going tho.

Could have been a lot worse. When we come back and beat these 3-0 next week if we play like this against City in the semis we'll lose 6-0.

We've lost 6-0 to Citeh before.

we need a clear out of players and go again, no euro football next year, just the PL and domestic

Reckon our inability to score must be really getting to the players. Lots of people mentioning James' attitude but I guess it must be really hard if you lose belief in what's going on up front - football's about goals, if we can't score what is the point?

There are moments we look ok but there's no end product. But for a few better performances earlier in the season we should be in the mix for relegation. The players know it, there can't be a much worse feeling than running out in a Chelsea shirt knowing that the team's a shadow of what the club requires. Who wants to be part of that?

I think the off field stuff is effecting the players too. Just look at Newcastle, as soon as they got rid of Ashley, it was like the club was given life again. I would bet a lot that being at Chelsea doesn't even have that same feeling anymore. So many new faces, coaches, players, even the ones we don't see often like the groundsman. As a fan, the club doesn't even feel like Chelsea, so imagine how it must feel for the players too.

We were incredibly lucky Madrid were not on it tonight. It could have been a lot worse. This tie is over for me because we have nothing.

Two things are a priority next season. A striker and most importantly a world class manager. Frank is way out of his depth and he doesn’t have the personalities to grind out wins like Robbie did.

I don’t blame the players tonight, they had no idea what they were doing. The board have to take fault of everything this season.

Totally pointless analogy.  Would I bet on Chelsea no. Never have never will and yes the way the season has progressed its odds on we won't progress, still gotta have hope tho that has nothing at all to do with common sense

2 0 wasn't an awful result with 11 men let alone 10. Most seasons I'd be confident the tie wasn't dead. However, this season, the idea that we score 2 or 3 is as likely as Mudryk winning a Balloon D'or.

Obviously we go into the 2nd leg hoping beyond belief but, after that, the season is over and we look to next season. So don't play Kovacic, Koulibaly, Havertz  or Cucurella.

Fixed it..

Toney has scored 18 goals playing for Brentford this season. At Chelsea with the amount of chances weve created in games he scores 30 and We win half the games weve lost and were in the top four. My point is of course having a striker in a specialist position makes a difference, it also allows other players to play and thrive as theres a focal point and gives the other team something to worry about. We dont have goalscorers in midfield to play without a striker.
