For context Arteta was known as the Spanish Tony Pulis till Oct last year .. results are what matters in football.. In that context we are doing much better with a much worse off squad this season..

Its a results business and things are looking better... Credit where it's due. 

It is bizzare listening most of the comment here. Just play player in their correct position and everything just magically works.  The quality that the player bring to the table is irrelevant. 😂😂😂

Really? Just play Maatsen as lb when he lost duel after duel. 

Just play two attacking fb with silva. The fact that silva can't defend wide area doesn't matter.

I am confused. Maatsen can't win duel yet you want to play him as lb. You basically say I don't care about his weakness, he is a lb so he should play as lb. 

We also need a lb who can play more like a cb to cover for silva because silva can't cover wide area, Maatsen whose quality is more on the other side of the field should play lb instead.

I was thinking on why Chilwell might come on and not go to LB.

Think Poch wants Colwill's strength and speed to help out Silva and Chilwell is more offense minded,

We need a LB next summer regardless.

You need to see our defense more as back 3 with silva as ccb because silva can't play any other role.

I’ll say it again…….. Kieran Tierney. He’s a solid left back who can play left sided CB. He’s also good going forward. Injuries are the only sticking point

I get what you are saying. Silva is a legend and top top quality but I’ve a feeling we’ll be much better as a team without him. Poch will play a higher line when he goes back to Brazil and I think that will suit us and force the remaining CB’s to take more responsibility. We’ll soon see which of them are capable.

That's where I beg to disagree. I think the squad is better. I prefer Jackson to Havertz at centre forward. I prefer our midfield to last season's midfield. I like both this season's goalkeepers better. Palmer is doing more in attack than anyone we had last season. Mudryck for me offers way more this season than Mount offered last season.

I'm a supporter of the management strategy, I think we have an exciting future and yes we do need more striking options and yes certainly we need to do a better job of not buying players who are going to have 30-40-50% of their career playing time missed due to injury.

We should have another 6 points (I made that number up) by this stage of the season even allowing for injuries. Poch sets the team up to keep his job rather than to make a great team.

That is management. Spuds are over achieving, their squad's limitations are obvious and the lack of depth with be exposed as the season grinds on. But they have a style and manage performances.

Spuds are far from overachieving, they are exactly where their squad should be. They're almost as close to us as they are to the top of the table.

I think Ange is a good manager and a suitable manager for them at this point. The style they implement is optimistic but also carries risk element in that very thing. If they start losing with their gung-ho style the optimism and strength to carry on being exposed to counters and all-out attack mentality is really tested. That is when Ange is going to be really tested. Now their players have 100% bought the idea. 

It remains to be seen how they do when going gets tough. 

Anyway Spurs are 3-4 years ahead of us in terms of the squad age profile.
