January 12, 20242 yr I have a really horrible but growing feeling that Poch IS starting to lose the dressing room. We can all see that good players are being played out of position and then being castigated for poor performances. They will not be happy with that and will talk amongst themselves or to friends in the media. I have strong doubts about Pochettino's tactical nouse and to be persisting with playing players out of position to continue with a woeful and losing style of play and no Plan B, just makes no sense, other than to him. He WILL be given to the end of the Season, but may not survive the Summer.

He's not an idiot so there must be some rhyme or reason behind it. Probably to do with injuries and what he is seeing on the training pitch from the various solutions being tried, but it would be nice to hear what it is straight from the horse's mouth !

Apparently several players havr expressed their concerns at Pochettino not being up to it tactically and not using some players correctly. 3 in particular (said to be Enzo, Colwill and Caicedo) are said to have told the higher ups Poch is not using them to their strengths and harming the team because of it. 10 hours ago, axman2526 said: My friend, there’s nothing on that tweet to grant your take that “Enzo, Colwill and Caicedo have told the higher ups that they’re not being played to their strengths”. If anything, that tweet says that there’s a close discussion on tactics between the coaching staff (Poch et al.) and the players, nothing to suggest that players are going behind Poch’s back to Boehly and co.
January 12, 20242 yr My belief in Pochettino has began to wane, I always try to give our managers time and after Potter I was willing to welcome Poch with open arms. Now I've come to see as bad as Potter was he wasn't the problem it's the owners and the sporting directors they set everyone (players, coaches and fans) up for failure. I don't blame Potter for the mess the club was, he's not the most dominant of men so I can see him being a pushover. Pochettino on the other hand I thought was firery and passionate so wouldn't be silenced. I've began to see this is not the case, as he too has been pushed around and accepted what he's given. I think he's a good coach, but he's clearly a pushover. The only reason he got the job is because he's so agreeable. We were told the owners were more interested in coaches who get along with the board than anything else. So rather than have someone challenge their poor decision making they want someone to accept what they're given. So explain to me then why in modern football you would choose a so called "elite level" coach if you're not going to give him the same level of tools as his peers to compete. Or even more relevant how are they expected to play their football with just any old signing coming through the door under the guise of club signing. Yes we know in the past we can have too many coach signings and end up with a mismatched squad. Yet very few managers these days can play their style of football without their style of players. Neither Guardiola or Klopp two of the best in the world would have had the level of success they've had in this league without the club listening to their profile of player when squad building. Even worse with the huge outlay, but very little spent on current elite proven level talent & experience. The players and coach are under huge outside pressure to succeed even if internally they try to play it down. You don't spend £1bn and expect 12th, 10th. If we don't sign experience this window then Pochettino must get us into Europe otherwise its a sackable offence. He's spent all season saying we're Chelsea this and Chelsea that. So prove it then lad! If you're so called holding the current players to the standards of past Chelsea players and they're failing. We then hold you to the standards of past Chelsea managers and guess what you're failing too!
January 12, 20242 yr Whether it happens in the next few weeks or at the end of the season it feels like the writing is on the wall for Poch. The owners will surely be seeing that their big investments are being used terribly, and Poch is already coming out with his Spursisms about how he doesn't thing winning trophies is a necessity he just wants everyone to have a lovely time.

That is not the case with us, everyone get either good playing time or they are injured.
January 12, 20242 yr You have to have sympathy with Poch on Nkunku. His only other potential consistent attacker to Palmer is constantly injured Edited January 12, 20242 yr by rtwelch

Same person had a few other tweets about it mate, I did not quote them all. I saw them on Miz's "other side of the coin" YouTube show, and later one Younes YTF where they quoted his tweets, and their common belief was Enzo, Colwill and Caicedo were the three. Are they and the poster on X right? I don't know, but I shared because I believe, in general, our fans on here are concerned and want to know what might be going on.
January 12, 20242 yr I understand that tempers are probably a bit fraught right now, but I think personal attacks against other posters is a bit over the line personally. If someone genuinely thinks another member of this forum is just trying to upset others / troll then the right course of action is probably to talk to a mod, isn't it? I haven't been here that long, but the few interactions I've had with @axman2526 have always been great - haven't always agreed on everything but they've respected my opinions as I've tried to respect theirs.

I don't think so. And I hope we don't repeat what we were under Roman. Especially now that we just replaced the entire squad with young players. How can you expect to win even as many points as we have with new squad where 33% of them are injured all the time...? Let one coaching team create the culture and bring in one philosophy. Let it be Poch's. Why not. Have patience.

There is nothing I want more out of Chelsea now than what we were under Roman! Remember too, the hire and fire thing isn't just a Roman thing, Todd and co have gone through a fair amount in a few years with big payoffs!
