So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!

Do you guys watch Inter? Martinez is not the striker we need. Or at least I don't think so. On the other hand MacAllister could provide the spine/character  in the midfield the team needs. Maybe rice could as well.

At this point I am close to writing James and Chilwell off on a permanent basis. Great players but so was Maradonna and the availability is about the same.

The left side of defence will be ok with Baddy and Colwill but the right side looks very thin with Fof as injury prone as James and Chilwell. I don't expect Silva to play next season. If he does it will be sign we haven't progressed.

If the story is true, pretty smart that Pochettino didn't take the job last year, but waited to be given more control at the club. If he's going to bring 2-3 Argentinean players in, make it happen. Maybe Boehly will come up with another master plan to spend 300M in the summer and not getting smashed via the FFP.

I just hope we dont trade him in as I worry that we wont be able to get rid of enough of our deadwood, due to their high wages.

Not somebody I ever wanted to see manage our club, but I will forgive everything if he can make us actually look like a football team again.

No Problem with him being ex spurs. There were other PL managers who really seemed to dislike every core of our being Wenger, Warnock, Martinez , Rafa ! he didnt strike me as one of them. Just as an aside, old Ange up the road's not too keen on us either. He's a huge Liverpool fan and I remember once on Aus TV when he was playing  pundit back when we were very good he was disparaging of us during a champions league tie.

Interested to see what’s next for Ange. Reckon he;s got more in him.

This sort of thing always gets me a bit uneasy with people...anyway in terms of football he doesn't rely on spirits or leprechauns. He records everything and doesn't let people get away with... anything as he apparently is a voyeur.

🤣

I mean look what happened to Spurs since lemons have been removed from the office.  This this the genius next level football knowledge that Potter was lacking.  I've heard he now keeps a pickled egg in his left pocket during matches to prevent bottling.  I think under the guidance of Pochettino and his spirt animal Gary the gerbil we're in good hands.

Does Gary the Gerbil know how to put the pickled egg in the back of the net?

At the risk of boring you all to death, Who do you think that Pochettino will establish or sign as our "Leader" on the pitch?  We continue to miss a tough, uncompromising player who will fight for everything, all of the time. Can Rice be that man ??

Rice would be the perfect signing but if he wants CL football he won't find that at Chelsea for a while. At the earliest 24-25 season.

Rice is English, proven leader, brilliant footballer. He is the best suited midfielder we could find in world football. We need a vocal leader.

Could potentially get both Lavia and Ugarte for the price of Rice.

Keeping Mount would make a lot of sense. I think he will be used at RF/RW, much like Eriksen where he runs through that channel. That's where we've arguably seen Mount at his best under Tuchel.

Martinez

James Fofana Badiashile Colwill

Ugarte Enzo

Mount  Nkunku  Mudryk

Lautaro

After all is said and done he is the right man to take us forward but anyone who thinks we will challenge for the title next season need to give their head a wobble.

If ever a Chelsea manager needed time then it’s this appointment. I expect a slow start then a bit of momentum in the second half of the season. Maybe sneak into the top 4.

I fully expect a massive turnaround over the next 3 windows with quite a few of our recent signings moved on.

Given time, he will do really well imo

At least he’ll get the team really fit and ready to go. That alone is a huge positive based on what we’ve seen this season.

I wonder what effect it could potentially have on injuries though. A lot of our players seem unable to keep up with high intensity, like Reece James.

Hence the importance in having strength in depth and versatile players.

Mauricio Roberto Pochettino Trossero [aka MO-po or thePOCH or the Pooch] 😀 prefers two formations, 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 which is possession-oriented and looks to build out with quick, incisive passes to his central midfielders. . . .this could be the end of our wing backs. He also likes a high press, we have not really mastered that. so, that will be fun. . . who are the 3 players that he wants to bring in?

West Ham fans think Rice is a sh*t leader and Noble was levels above him on that aspect. And I'm not surprised as some of the excuses he's made for England defeats would make even Potter blush.

James, Enzo or even Chilwell would be more suited to the role.

I couldn't care less if he believed in the Flying Spaghetti Monster,  if it gets us trophies

As long as he doesn't go full Raymond Domenech and rely on astrology to pick his teams

To be honest I'd trust astrology more than Lampard when it comes to team selection at this point

Dibu Martinez if we get him.
