I think most of these players has ideal role however in tuchel system especially his front 5, you are required to do a bit of everything that is why there is no clear role in the team. You won't see timo in any other team moving side to side offering back to goal play but in TT system he is required to. Edited July 7, 20233 yr by Bob stark
July 7, 20233 yr IMO the reason why most of these signings (especially Lamp's) didn’t work was because it was a case of we had opportunity to sign good players for good fee, so let's just get them rather than let's sign player A because we need player in this position for this role. So you end up with a total mess where it is difficult to fit all these players into a coherent team.

I am thinking our aim should be a league finish of 4th. And any cup in the cabinet. To begin with. I agree. I just hope that we give him sufficient tools to achieve this. He'll soon get labelled with the Spurs bottler tag if it starts to unravel, but if we have no spine, experience or leadership for 2-3 years what can really be expected.
July 7, 20233 yr With pre-season already underway and traveling to the states in a little over a week I wonder how he feels about his midfield options at the moment.
July 7, 20233 yr Onana going to Man U. I though we were looking for goalkeeper that is good with the feets. 55 + add on not that expensive. How come every other teams seems to be able to sign big name but we can’t sign Ceicedo 😒. For attacking option we going for Dybala who is more Injury prone then Reece and we our medical staff working on them they will always injured. We keeps buying wonderkids 🧐. Liverpool : 2 big signing Man u : 2 big signing Arsenal: 3 big signing New castl: 1 big but have plenty of money man city : 1 but they don’t need it

July 7, 20233 yr Pochettino thinks we need to win. Nice to hear. With what squad...anyway the philosophy fits Chelsea.
July 7, 20233 yr The face he’s saying he wants to win straight away is promising. No one will judge him this season but am glad he’s got that elite mentality!!!

July 7, 20233 yr They all need to shut the fu*k up and give the man a chance, that also goes to our so called fans that expect to much, its going to be a long road but I'm confident we will get there with Pochettino.
July 7, 20233 yr I thought it was a good strong interview. He didn't fall into any of the traps they set but he should already be picking out those that were laying traps. I really liked the very first part. "This is not compulsory, no" I other words disrespect me and you'll get fck all. He's done his open, friendly bit with the press now. When he gets back from the US I would like him to be colder and a bit more distanced with the press, effectively demanding respect from these scavengers. Potter too often fell into the trap of trying to be their friend and then getting mugged off. Good start Mauricio.

Point taken: Any sensible pundit/fan would know not to judge him but you are both right these two and the rest of Sky/BTTNT what they call themselves now will absolutely want him to fail and will do everything to make it happen.

I don't think any fan will want him to fail but I fear like with Sarri the first bump in the road many will turn irreversibly.
July 7, 20233 yr I love how he mentioned that it’s important to adapt with technology, but that there are certain human aspects of the game that can’t be measured by data, but by sense. Excited. Truly.
