I don't think I agree with you. In term of x n o, I rate tuchel as probably the best in europe.

Towards the end though the football was absolute dog sh*t, painful to watch and the first time i switched it off.

I just don't get the love for Tuchel. Sorry, I just don't. He served up some of the worst football Ive ever seen at the bridge and managed to suck any joy out of me watching Chelsea on TV. I hated watching us and the direction the club was going under him. I think he was lucky to come to us given the disaster he created at PSG.

I actually rate Bobby Di Mateo more highly as he won our first champions league. We played better football under his management than Tuchels entire time at the bridge. Perhaps its a hazy memory but I will give up football and the will to live if any manager serves up the kind of crap Tuchel did again at the bridge. I honestly think he'll be done by Xmas or January at Bayern once they start signing his players. An incredibly lucky manager.

I think he's arguably the best tactician in the world when it comes to adapting his methods tailored to the players at his disposal.

That said, I think he's a difficult manager to work with and his squad building is a huge flaw in his management.

Oh you mean where we parked 10 players in our box against Barcelona and Bayern Munich and had about 30% possession with 1-2 shots on target per game? Whereas playing Atletico and Real Madrid off the park was rubbish?

What sort of delusion is this please. When we won the Champions League under Di Matteo it was an absolute miracle, under Tuchel we were the best side against everyone, even City despite having less possession we were the only ones who created clear-cut chances in the game.

A lot people will say it is his talent id. I think it is more than that. His football is too perfect, not only it is very difficult to sustain it for the long term but it is also very difficult to improve your team.

People say they don't understand why Tuchel is loved so much, well I don't get how or why people hate Tuchel so much.

Yet they are the same ones who love Mourinho who has bad-mouthed the club and fans, sold off our best players that hurt us in the long term, and played some sh*te boring football. Mourinho used to deliberately play games to get a 0-0 draw, I felt especially sorry for the fans who went to Anfield away in the Capital Cup semi-final and Atletico away in the CL, some of the sh*ttest football I've seen from us.

It was never that bad under Tuchel. You may not like him as a coach, but I don't understand the raging hate boner people have for a manager who won us trophies during a difficult time and hasn't said a bad word about us.

Either way, I'm fully onboard with Pochettino now, and I think he's the man to put us on the right track. I'm not by any means getting attached to him and expect him to be gone in a couple or few years but I still think this appointment is the step in the right direction.

Given his record for youth development I am hopeful Pochettino really helps Broja, Hall, Santos, Casadei and Colwill (if he stays) to develop in to top, top players that are regulars in our team and squad.

People have short memories if they are saying our football was the worst it's ever been under Tuchel. We had as close to perfect season as we could have had in Europe under him. The first few months of the season after was brilliant too, before it feel apart with Chilwell and James getting injured (with the other 50 injuries on top) Some fans would call Klopp sh*t if he was a Chelsea manager, because we have seen how bad his Liverpool teams can be when they pick up a few injuries. I'm also certain that if Tuchel had remained manager last season, we wouldn't have been playing like a team in the relegation zone after the world cup.

The comparison to Di Matteo's football was ridiculous, under RDM I never felt we were going to win a league title. While under Tuchel it looked like a good possibility until the wheels came apart with the injuries. And yes if I'm being honest... I don't think we would've won it anyway given how strong City are as a side, but I think we could've gave them a good challenge.

It was a really fun and memorable season under RDM, but we weren't playing the top teams off the park, how on earth we managed to not lose both of those Barcelona games I'll never know, we were just destined to win it. The season after that was entertaining for about 4-5 games, after that we completely fell apart and it was painful to watch us, especially in the European games.

I understand the football under Tuchel was dross for certain periods, but I don't think it was as bad as Mourinho's. Under Mourinho if we had an away game against a big side I actually contemplated if I should even bother watching it because we're just going to sit in our half for 90 minutes and defend for a 0-0. I even remember how we bottled the PSG tie at the Bridge. We went down to 10 men and we were winning the game, but our players were so stuck in defensive mode they were confused on how to take advantage of the situation and just couldn't get going. PSG then ended up outplaying us and winning the tie.

Like you said, short memories and also selective I'll add.

Sarriball was some of the worst football I have seen us play in recent years. Mind numbingly boring at times. Sometimes during matches I would take 10 minutes to go out to the kitchen and make meself a nice cup of Rosie Lee and cut a slice of pork pie, only to go back to the game in time to watch us making our 122nd sideways or backwards pass without going over the halfway line.

Yup I reckon Rom will be back at Cobham this week.

Inter are playing chicken with us and I believe will hope Rom waits for them so they can wait till the end of the window to get another loan.

Risky for Rom as if we stand firm he misses out on at least 6 months of game time.

Yup. Inter and Lukaku are playing this game of chicken with us, and I f**king love the backbone we are showing. We have the financial power to let him rot with the reserves too so they genuinely have zero leverage.

f**king love it.

It wasn't even the second worst football we played in 4 years.

The beauty of football. We all see it differently Argo. IMO for the most part it was incredibly slow and risk adverse. And in that team we also had the benefit of two players, who were, at that moment in time, unarguably in the Top 12 players in the world.

I don't think any fan will want him to fail but I fear like with Sarri the first bump in the road many will turn irreversibly.

The thing with Sarri (in my opinion) was he didn't help himself, Pochettino at least is saying the right things, talking about winning, what it means to be Chelsea etc

My chief memories of Sarri was his refusal to step onto the pitch ever, his complaining that PL players dribble too much every time Hazard did a madness and bailed us out, and his devoting the Europa League he won to his former club (admittedly the writing was on the wall by that point of his tenure).

Not saying he wasn't treated poorly, he probably was, but a big part of being a manager of this club is forging a good relationship with the fans, especially the ones in the stadium. If Pochettino puts effort in on that front I think there'll be more patience from the stands than Sarri enjoyed.

But if we're going down the connecting with fan angle Jorginho tried to the point he put his mother in with us yet got the exact same.

Also the arrogance it took from Sarri to set us up for that 6-0 drubbing to City was pretty unforgivable

The same set up got us a win in the reverse fixture.

And I'd rather go down by any score than the way Conte played for a narrow defeat the season before.

We're also a fanbase that has become accustomed to charismatic coaches that have a connection with the fanbase. So when we have somebody like Sarri as manager, it feels weird, like something is missing.

Can't disagree with you here, I guess he was viewed as Sarri's on-pitch avatar though which couldn't have helped.

I'm not trying to get into an argument about Sarri though - just that he perhaps could've done more to win over hearts and minds, like so many others had over the past ~20 years

Not to worry just, I have used the power of AI and science to compile this objective matrix.

Unfortunately even the world's most powerful AI was unable to categorise Di Matteo - the pants-sh*ttingly tense CL run, the indifferent league form at the tail end of his first season, and the hilarious but leaky Hazard/Mata/Oscar league form the following year simply did not compute.
