It might force their hand to pay up but it doesn’t solve our immediate issue. Good luck to WinStewart going into the market knowing that you need a striker and you have plenty of money.

    I'd be telling Jackson to complete his transfer, signing Vardy up as the back up striker for the season, pulling guiu back to learn from Vardy. Think he would either get them all drinking before kickoff or actually could impart some title winning nouse into our front line. Plus, Vardy is Mr sh*thousery himself.

    The situation seems to be settling out nicely, Karveh at Sky Sports certainly thinks so, also sounding quite positive towards us.

    Chelsea are thought to be relaxed about the Nicolas Jackson situation. He is a Chelsea player and contracted until 2033.

    Jackson does not have to return to London because Chelsea players have two days off and then it is the international break. Jackson has been called up to the Senegal squad for qualifiers against Sudan and DR Congo.

    Chelsea have been linked with a move for Conrad Harder and recalling Marc Guiu from his loan at Sunderland even though they are not regarded as being comparable to Jackson yet in terms of experience. Chelsea are considering other options too - in case Jackson joins Bayern permanently.   

    Chelsea are expected to complete a deal soon to sign Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton and they have also made a €40m bid for Barcelona attacking midfielder Fermin Lopez.

    Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi and David Datro Fofana are expected to leave before tomorrow’s deadline.

    There’s a bit of chatter amongst Palace supporters that there may be a cash plus player in the offing with Disassi Palace bound.

    There likewise is said to be something stirring with Chilwell to Strasbourg, would have to be a permanent.

    Sterling is said to be going on a permanent ( can’t see that one) . DDF is off to a Championship club if the deal to sell him to a German club doesn’t materliise
