I get why some don't like Zeta posting an image of a donkey in a Chelsea shirt and meaning it is Nico, I am not a fan either but cannot claim to be a Saint when it comes to not slagging our players off either. Plenty have called Nico a donkey on here, or worse, a picture is no worse than words imo. Zeta is a good guy, and a long standing member on here, you are really off base claiming he made a homophobic slur using the word pansie, in today's words I guess he more meant snowflakes.

He was signed as a youthful gamble and he's ended up through injuries being fully relied on to lead the line. I don't think Jackson has the ability to become a top level striker, but that's not his fault and he's not the reason we are 10th. Maybe he does come good in time, but i think a lot of us seem to forget he wasn't signed for 80m and to be our star striker.

He is also a winger most of his career that played striker at the back end of last season as Villareal had no strikers. He is like Sterling, a winger than can play either side and can be shoehorn in as a false 9 as need be.

He has the first touch of an elephant and doesn't show any ability to take on a full back

He has the first touch of an elephant and doesn't show any ability to take on a full back We would only see of he had an extended run as a winger with a proper striker to play off of. We have a proper striker in Broja who is not yet even 25% of where he was physically or mentally before his horror injury. So if we get one in the window then we will see.

Got nothing to do with his colour. Whether you think Zeta's joke is in good or bad taste trying to introduce a race aspect is totally inaccurate and unnecessary

I said he's not good enough along with others we've bought And anyway, we bought him for whatever reason , if he's not up to it , then it's not his fault , someone's who is paid a LOT of money decided he was good enough to play for Chelsea. Anyway, apparently his nickname was " Neymar" when he was young, so that was probably what decided the transfer 🤣 !🤣 Was it Neymar or No-more!

It just isn't good enough. Broja is more of an old fashioned number 9 than Nico is but he's a long long way from being good enough to even be a squad player for us and that was apparent before his injury. The goal scorer we need isn't in our squad and we chose to go into the season without one. Edited December 28, 20232 yr by Whats_The_Mata?
December 28, 20232 yr Its clear he's more of a winger, his off the ball movement his touches etc. What becomes concerning then is that we then went into the season with a striker force consisting off Jackson: unproven at elite level, more of a winger Broja back from injury still not fully proven at elite level before injury Nkunku: injured for 4 months unproven in the league Washington no need to explain this one.... The mind boggles. Look Jackson is beyond frustrating, but when you actually consider (despite the least impressive hattrick of all time) he does have a decent strike so far in his first season in a very competitive league. Is he promising? Yes, can he improve also yes. He is as others have remarked not the player to be our starting number 9 in the long run and I would argue short term also. I so think he does have a place in the squad/project in the long run. I just would not expect him to be the starting striker next season and if I'm honest even after January.

December 28, 20232 yr 11 hours ago, just said: This is from this morning's Daily Express; "This might be the game that convinces Chelsea to sign a striker in January. Nicolas Jackson still looks a level below the Premier League’s elite and endured another frustrating night at Stamford Bridge. Having misplaced a few relatively simple first-half passes, groans were audible around the stadium. The 22-year-old missed a one-on-one midway through the second period and then had a goal ruled out for offside. Jackson should not have strayed offside before tapping home a right-wing cross. His blushes were spared by Madueke’s 89th-minute penalty." Bloody hell Just, some of us have this forum on dark mode you know!

Come off it mate, my parents are Nigerian immigrants, and many of us called Torres and Morata donkeys for years, it's got nothing to do with race. I think it's more concerning when people immediately jump to those comparisons if anything, but I'm sure your heart is in the right place. Zeta is just having a laugh, I doubt Jackson reads this forum and god help him if he does.
