Plenty of positives to take and tactically we're improving. Cucurella and Pope are the reasons we didn't win that game

Moreso regarding playing without a ST. 

Chalobah did well. Bashir wasn't obviously bad. Gusto is an excellent defensive fullback.Carney once again bossed his bit of the pitch in the minutes he had. Santos really did well with his minutes, has a good eye for the direct forward pass.

On the unexciting bits Nkunku was quiet and Casedi faded after a bright start.

Right now I might start Carney over Nkunku.

 

Sterling and Cucurella. What were we thinking? They’re not going to start ahead of Mudryk and Chilwell are they? The less we see of them the better. I’d seriously let Cucurella go this window. Dreadful player.

Cucurella ahead of Chilwell? no chance. Sterling we'll have to wait and see on, but Pochettino would be a fool to start any of them against Liverpool.

Not a suprise, Pochettino ask a lot from our midfielder. 

Played some good attacking football, think we will see some goals this season. Not too impressed with some of the defensive work, that half hearted lunge or block by Cucu resulted in the goal was embarrassing. I do think we are short of defensive options, someone or 2 have to step up
