Cant say Ive seen such odd feet positioning and hand coordination for the first goal against the hammers. looked really uncoordinated. In fairness, same can be said with the goal against Palace he spazzed at and essentially went through him. Both goals the ball moved last minute.com, sort of like knuckle balls. What are the footballs theyre using this season? Always a month of adjustment as seen in world cups. That said, the save in the second that was offside was top quality and was probably what he was trying for the first goal. He is very quick through the air, large frame, super stopper and can also ping a pass. Im actually warming to him despite having an absolute rick in him... Reminds me a lot of Heurelho Gomes who turned out to be a very decent keeper and he's got age on his side to mature and make better decisions.

The shot started off heading to his right, he was positioned properly for that with his right arm raised in line. It then wickedly swerved

to his left side, so he was wrong footed. The power of the shot meant he didn't have time to raise his left arm, so went with the arm already raised.

Why can't anyone be sensible and not extremely biased about it, accept that it was a pheniominal shot, which should't have been allowed. we have a very good "goalkeeper". Crap with

his feet under pressure. Maresca has finally realised this, hence when the pressure is on, he's allowed to hoof it. Every goalie has a rick in them, thankfully

Sanchez has lowered the ricks he makes substantially. As long as he is not put under a lot of pressure, I'm more than happy with him, if things decline then my opinion will

likely change, but for now he'll do for me.

Sanchez is in a hot vein of form and allowed to play in a way that mitigates some of his disaster potential, long may it continue.

However, let's not make the same mistake we did with Mendy and wait too late to bring in a replacement or competition. I actually think that Penders is very much that keeper, but we'll wait and see.

How most decide what in today’s football is a “ good keeper” is as we know a country mile away from those who occupied the position 10-20 or even 3 year’s ago.

If you are being honest I bet no one could rate keepers at the time the back pass rule was introduced in terms of how they dealt with the change. Indeed most I seem to remember just lumped the ball forward. Now keepers are expected to not only be a shot stopper but they are required to be a sweeper, provide the angle to try and deal with a press ,and deal with balls that “ move” significantly.

The disallowed Palace goal wasn’t an example of a go mistake indeed the wall and those players placed alongside would almost certainly have dealt with the free kick if there hadn’t been an infringement.

The WHU goal moved significantly once it was struck indeed it’s what this new Nike ball is designed to do.

I have been surprised how poor some of the other clubs keepers have been blamed already but watch the outfield players who are struggling to deal with the balls movement.

Sanchez isn’t WC, he isn’t close to it, but the fact he seems to have been given license to try and drop the ball behind a high opposition defensive line is interesting and yes it might give up possession but in areas where he is far less likely to be bought into immediate action

Donnarumma to City

Just weird. No better with the ball at his feet than Trafford. A major reason why he's leaving PSG. What's going on with Ederson?

A Goalkeepers first priority is to keep the ball out of the net. Always has been always will be. All the other stuff is nice modern etc etc however any manager that fails to act on the first point will fail, as will his keeper. Statistics will only get a keeper so far. Pep started something but even he is potentially approaching his expiry date.

Sanchez is a good goalkeeper, maybe on a good day a great goalkeeper, but not an elite level keeper.

Let’s go Sanchez!!! Prove my cautious doubts wrong and win Golden Glove for 2025/2026 please!!

If he ever won the golden glove award, he would probably go for it with the wrong hand, and it would fly past him….much like the west ham goal he conceded.

He did alright carrying the best GK award that he won ahead of Donnarumma in the CWC to be fair.

If it weren't for VAR, it'd be 0 clean sheets in 3 games.

If my grandmother had wheels, she would have been a bike.

Dear me, this ridiculous rar-rar from you over every dubious statistical tweet.

Ah com'on Snow Flake. Lighten up. You gotta admit that was a great riposte by TBB.

Some would say it was phenomenal!

Do better.

Ah well. I recall humour wasn't a strong point in your previous incarnation on here. It seems some enforced time away and a new identity hasn't altered that.

Try again. 🎣🎣

Have seen some blaming him on the third goal. Don't see any wrong doing from him. Pass to Chalobah was the right on, so was his pass to gusto. Malo panicked off a bad touch and made it worse with his gamble diving back pass.
