Normally I would agree but a 20 min or so cameo is not going to make or break anything at this stage.

If you want to give him a good cameo. You need to give him Mudryk/Madueke minutes

WHat did we pay for him? About 18m? f**king crazy.

It’s mad and we now wanted to palm him off to Viera in Jan. Why didn’t Strasbourg sign all these players that were not ready to start with? They won’t have paid as much as we did, and those signings won’t be on our books.

You could argue the same for a number of others from the U21 team. Including Stutter, Castledine, Richards, etc.

It is very difficult for those players to get minute when you have mudryk n madueke.

After some no doubt hard fought negotiations Deivid Washington is signing permanently for Strasbourg in a £17.6m deal.

All completely above board.

Thanks for the memories Deivid.

It's legal and one of the reasons multi-club ownership exists. One of the more famous examples is Aaron Mooy, the Australian player. Played for Melbourne City owned by Man City. Moved from Melbourne to MC on a free transfer. Never played for MC. MC sold him to Huddersfield. The only question when a transfer fee is involved is the legitimacy of the fee which can be investigated if questionable. Watford ran into trouble on the matter back in the day with transfers between Watford and Udinese both owned by the Pozzo family.

This is outrageously sketchy. Strasbourg fans must raging about this.

You'd certainly think so ... a Club record fee for a striker who has 2 career goals at senior level ... 🙂

How much did we pay for him, is this the massive profit scheme we're working on?

Seems dodgy as hell but I’d imagine everything is technically above board. Very sad situation for Strasbourg and multi club ownerships really should not be allowed exist

That is the key here. Didn’t the PL scrutinise the Salvio deal to City. No way we don’t get hit with a long ban with these dodgy deals. The £19m Kellyman deal who is now playing for our u21s is another one that will be examined. Put the deal aside, and the deal makes no sense for Strasbourg. They already have way too many CFs.

They were going to. Seems nothing came of it. Actually, shades of the Mooy thing. Troyes bought him but he never played for them. Loaned to Girona, another MC-owned club.

17.2m so if we conveniently forget his wages we made a profit

At the time, I saw mention of the fee being £13.7m plus £3.4m of bonuses, which I highly doubt have been triggered ... ?

Won't count towards our PSR, as previously stated deals between clubs owned by the same ownership group cannot count sales to each other for PSR/FFP purposes.

So given that not sure why we needed to sell for such a fee.

I don’t think they’re now thinking about PSR, since we’re within the rules as it stands and I understand, but trying to reduce the size of the f**kup they’ve got the team into.
