Ah I see. Couple of years in the Serbian Div 3, and then MLS. I'm sure he'll be the quality we need to challenge Sanchez...

I just don't understand wtf we are doing with recruitment. Spend billions on midfielders, and then go into the season with 2 League One goalkeepers.

Seems like a lot of money for someone I've never heard mentioned before.

Makes little sense, if all goes as planned we will have 3 first choice GKs in the team, either change GK every other game or 2 on the bench. Realistically, 3 backup GKs in a team and we will be looking for a 120M first choice. Well, it's only 13.6M, easily write it off over 8 years 🤔

Pretty sure he will be coming in as a second choice goalkeeper. All the announcements etc. suggested that Sanchez is going to be number 1 keeper this season.

Weird not to just grab a freebie like Navas for a season and reassess in summer

Historically we've had top keepers. Even in the Kepa era Mendy was excellent for 1,5 seasons. 

This season doesn't fill me with confidence on the keeper dept.

I have a question, how much are we getting for the Kepa loan from Real? because this seems like a complete waste of money. We've spent more money replacing two goalkeepers and don't seem to have improved this area a single bit.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if he takes the no. 1 spot from Sanchez.

Statistically he is the best shot stopper the MLS has ever seen. Not that great with his feet but not awful either.

Of course it could go either way, but I’m pretty optimistic about this signing.

We are assembling an elite set of second goalkeepers 

After the other 2 GKs return after loan next season, we will have 4 second choice GKs and probably in the market for the next 21 year old 100M GK 😁

I would take De Gea over any of the goalkeepers we have either got rid of, signed or are being linked with.

No money - he is a free agent

Lets reserve judgement on this one until we see him play. Hes been killing it in mls, its not the prem but at the very least we may have just improved on sanchez and can send him packing next summer once we have a clear longterm target between the sticks.

On this guy I doubt anyone really has any true judgement on how good or bad he may be. He's 23 and this is his first big move, let's hope it's like Cech who moved at a similar age and stage in career after a relegation battle in France.

 

Those in the know say this lad is the real deal and will instantly become a top 5 Prem keeper with lots of potential to get even better.

Can he play in the pivot?

He has great stats. But it's only MLS

Never heard of him. Let's hope he can step up.
