September 17, 20232 yr Sorry I and all you lot had to suffer that. No more excuses please from anybody bc it’s now become inexcusable . Our newly owned club have invested over a billion pounds on players, replaced nearly all of the clubs employees and are on its 4th first team manager in just over 18 months and are deservedly languishing in 14th place. TWO BOB all round on and off the pitch. Only the ladies team left to ruin, sure Todd can get to that eventually.

Other than Sterling, I never knew who the other lot were before we signed them. My club have been ruined and I saw it coming. Who should we have signed or kept?
September 17, 20232 yr 2 minutes ago, just said: I'd say Chukwumeka getting injured has been nearly as big a blow as losing Nkunku. He was the one player who looked a genuine number 10 capable of linking our midfield and attack. True. He was looking good. Unfortunately we can't keep some of our better players fit. Even Badashile gets injured when he was doing pretty well.

Roman should have made us a genuine force when Mourinho won the title 10 years ago when he came back to the club, but never did. I mean I've said it before a lot, but Roman is also a big part to play in where we are now. The last decade under Roman was poor. Imagine those 10 years without Hazard. It might not have been as bad as the last season and the start of this, but problems have been piling up. Common factor being no coherent strategy and now we are at no coherent strategy + wrong expectations.
September 17, 20232 yr The biggest issue was this rip and replace that everyone wanted to the squad all the players we got slated booed week in week out should have been a very slow process you don’t completely change the squad in three windows and expect everything to click. It will get worst before it gets better.

It’s the slow transition that is killing us. Ange hasn’t done anything dramatic to transform Spurs, it’s just get it up the pitch as quickly as possible. With us we keep passing it around aimlessly. You bet we are top of the possession stats. Spurs, to be fair, have a team that's been together. We got rid of all our experienced and deadwood in the summer, so this transition is going to take some time. As I said previously, this team is going nowhere particularly fast.

Only thing going for us is Poch has not been here long, meanwhile Ten Hag has been there for over a season. United look miles better than us, and actually have some goals in there team too, we genuinely look like a 12th place team, that could easily get sucked into a relegation fight.

I won't banter my United supporting mates as I fully expect them to finish 20 points above us come the end of the season. They have a better owner than us and have better players man for man. They can be fixed but I don't see us finishing in the top half for 3 or 4 years without a drastic U-turn from the ownership and a complete ripping up of our self sabotaging recruitment strategy and I don't think our owners are smart enough or interested in results enough to do it.
September 17, 20232 yr I miss these Chelsea championship winning teams when we actually had proven quality and not a bunch of prospects and hopefuls. Its no wonder why we're hot garbage now and have stunk for 1 year. Proven commodities matter in this league. We've been turned into Arsene Wenger's Arsenal post-invincible era , 2008 - whenever he f**ked off. Only, MUCH worse. We are literally a mid-table side over the span of 1 year 😅 We have a bunch of unproven, unknowns commodities who have never done anything in their lives. Last 2 times, we won a title, it was 1 special player (Eden Hazard), who dragged us to the finish line. Its been 7 long years since we won the Premier League. I don't see Chelsea winning the league as long as Pep and Klopp are managing City and Pool. When is it time to pull the emergency breaks and start to worry we have become a club of yesteryear? NONE of this will have happened under Abramovich's watch!

We won’t ever have a fully settled squad given someone buried a voodoo doll at Cobham with these constant injuries. Add the fact it’s a poorly assembled squad in terms of goals when Sterling, Jackson, and our CBs are our biggest goal threats. You can’t spend 1bn and only rely on two players (Nkunku and James). It just shows everything wrong with this vision in terms of squad building. Poch still holding firm things will come good. Just a matter of WHEN
September 17, 20232 yr I didn't even realise during the game that Jackson picked up a yellow. Only until I checked my FPL points I realised he was booked. This guy is really clumsy. I love his footballing ability, even though he needs to find his shooting boots, but already at this stage, he is facing one yellow from a match ban.

September 17, 20232 yr It will take time, I dont mind that. I’d wish we were somewhat fun to watch in the meantime, though
September 17, 20232 yr Watching us play continues to be the cure for insomnia. A couple of "good" things first. Was good to see a real defensive midfielder sitting. Lesley did his job well I though. No issue with effort today. Everyone tried. Sanchez man of the match for me, without him we lose 2-0. Whereas their keeper had just easy stuff to do. Goalless against Forest and Bournemouth. Our attackers, and attacking play, are incompetent. That is clear for all to see, and this is against two average defences in a row. Cowardly subs by Pochettino. Took too long to make them and did not throw on an extra youth striker when withdrawing Enzo. They were like for like subs not ones trying to win a game. No gamble. A result for where we are at. Bottom half of the table just staying ahead of the relegation spots.

It's no better at all. Under Potter we beat Dortmund in the CL. Wake up and smell the coffee

The Bridge is one thing, the away fans being like this already means the places is getting really bad already. The owners may keep your back, but the fans are going to make the games horrid at this rate.

Need to learn to watch us with simply having zero expectations. The constant points being dropped will be bearable then.
September 17, 20232 yr 39 minutes ago, Whats_The_Mata? said: Why? Why would you consider Mudryk and Jackson better than Welbeck? Is it because they cost more? Because neither have shown anything in their careers to suggest they're Welbeck level and that isn't hyperbole or even an opinion. That's the issue, Welbeck obviously isn't a top striker but the players we've brought in aren't on his level. And as cr@p as i think Welbeck is, his CV is Man zutd, Arsenal and Brighton. These blokes have done nothing
September 17, 20232 yr I really feel for Jackson. He can be a real player for us as we saw in pre-season and the first couple of league matches. BUT he isn't Drogba. He's 22 and playing in a new league. It isn't fair to expect him to do it on his own IMO. He needs a natural strike partner to share the load. And with Nkunku out for a long time and no set date for Broja to return, (and when he does, will he even be the same player?), Jackson is having to do it all and play every minute of every game. It is asking way too much of him much too soon.

September 17, 20232 yr 2 minutes ago, just said: no set date for Broja to return, (and when he does, will he even be the same player?), I hope not because he wasn't very good before. I don't understand why some people rate Broja so highly he wasn't very good on loan at Southampton and wasn't very good here pre injury. I'd have been happy if we brought in another striker this summer, I'm not sure why there's much hope Broja will be the answer when he comes back he's not shown much in his career so far to warrant the faith.
