December 7, 20232 yr Author Gotta admire that fight and passion from Everton. Newcastle are a good side, hard workers, even without several players. We are none of those things.
December 7, 20232 yr Everton look like a side with desire. Really don’t fancy we will match that and thus it’s hard to imagine us winning. If they hadn’t had the 10 point deduction they’d be above us.

Well, then Poch will say that an extra day of rest relaxed our players too much, whereas Everton unfairly stayed sharp due to lack of chill time. Simples.

December 8, 20232 yr Anyone saw Beto's goal, the 3rd one in the match Everton just won? I swear I believed that is how our new attackers would be scoring for us but put them in that same position and none of them would have scored that one.
December 8, 20232 yr Everton played with desire, effort and organistion. They pumped the ball forward early. They missed chances but kept the heads up. Trippier gifted them two opportunities that they took. we easily, easily have the personnel to play as well as Everton, just go about it the wrong way. I fancy our chances, but then allays do. If Everton do mainly just pump the ball in the air then the back 4 has to have Disasi and Badiashile in the middle.

Exactly what we should have been doing against Man Utd, and it was so painstakingly obvious after about 20 minutes, yet Poch couldn't seem to see it. So frustrating.
December 8, 20232 yr Goodison Park has not been a happy hunting ground lately and based upon current form they will make short work of our defence on set pieces and with their crosses into box down the flanks. Also their individual players seem highly motivated of late since the perceived injustice and thus the sum is more than the parts coupled together with a shrewd manager, our team on the other hand and our manager are far away from that currently. At least Gallagher the apparent unsung hero will be back and gawd help us ! I don’t want the manager sacked again but he is highly suspect currently and in a results business thus highly vulnerable. so am hoping by some longshot the team come good and do us proud 🥹😂
December 8, 20232 yr Not sure if Gusto is any closer to being fit? Don't think we will see Lavia, N'kunku and Carney until next year. Fofana and Chilwell, next season. So..... Sanchez James Disasi Badashile Colwill Caicedo Enzo Gallagher Sterling Broja Palmer Silva badly needs a rest, Jackson badly needs to sit on the bench and Cucurella needs to forget about football and go shopping with the wife instead.
December 8, 20232 yr No chance we win this. Lack of desire coupled with tired legs in midfield and probably Jackson on top. Might just check out until 2024.
December 8, 20232 yr Everton in their last 5 games, 3 wins , 1 draw and 1 loss. Including the minus of ten points and now they above the relegation zone again. Typical Sean Dyche's team with defensive organization, tactical understanding of the players and desire. What I cannot say on us unfortunately. --------- Sanchez --------- James - Disasi - Badiashile - Colwill ------ Caicedo --- Enzo ----- ----------- Gallagher ---------- Palmer ----- Broja ----- Sterling We have no options, I'd put Ugo but he's injured, I'd put Gusto but he's injured. COME ON CHELS!
December 8, 20232 yr I wouldn't take much from the Newcastle game. This is the same Newcastle who got dominated by Bournemouth away before international break. Away from home Newcastle have looked poor. Not to say Everton will be very beatable because they won't be. Before the pts deduction it was different, but now they are more galvanised. But again, so should we be.
December 8, 20232 yr We don't do well at Goodison at the best of times, never mind when we are playing so sh*t and Everton are suddenly in good form. Dyche was at our game against United and he is a smart cookie. He has his squad fired up and will instruct his players to pressure our week links (of which there are many), but especially to pressure the keeper and defenders who are incapable of playing the ball out from the back. It could be messy and I would happily take a draw now. Edited December 8, 20232 yr by Nibs

December 8, 20232 yr I'd rest Silva he must be creamed , I wouldn't play Maatsen don't feel he's got it but agree with the rest 👍
December 8, 20232 yr What's annoying is that the back line will likely be changed again. Any reason why Badiashile was randomly dropped?

December 8, 20232 yr Any team that we go up against that bullies us win. Everton will bully us and the players will lie down for them.
