I was just about to post this 😂

It shows how much work Maresca has done with this team and anyone who thinks he has made big strides need to give there head a wobble.

I wasn’t impressed with this hiring be he’s making me eat my words.

He has made big strides.. Wobbles head..

So he has taken a gamble tonight, half the conference league side and half the PL side, with Gusto being split as to which camp he best belongs in.

Hopefully it pays off. Worried about of mentality with so many changes.

I mean if these players can come in can’t help beat Saints then they are definitely conference league level only and should be moved on.

Is true but has it not been said on here that players like Disasi are not even conference league level?

If he can get up through our tradition Christmas wobble then he may be the messiah.

If he can't then he'll be a very naughty boy.

Exceeded my expectations so far. Thought he would be really struggling by now. Football is also a good watch , which I was worried it wouldn’t be. I think he’s mentioned before about having more “control” so I suspect he wants to tone the excitement down eventually .

Maresca gets extra marks of me for being bald.

Birds of a (hairless) feather right....

Would have been easy to field a largely unchanged side, so to make 7 changes is very brave. He set himself up for a fall when there was no imperative. For it to pay off is hugely impressive.

He has the players very hungry - you can see they all want to be involved.  Calling out Noni publically is a tribute to how highly he rates his potential but is a tactic I hope he doesn't overuse.

We were on this track before the summer. The last 12 months we are the 4th best team in the country, 10 points better than the 5th best. 20 points clear of United

This season is when we cement our place in top 4. And push on. There's going to be a lot of talk about us being title contenders, and then when inevitably we have a wobble there will be mocking that we flopped.

If Villa, Newcastle, and even Brighton are anything to go by, is that we need to strengthen appropriately once Champions League is thrown into the mix. Can't have a similar drop off.

I questioned his appointment, but he's starting to prove me wrong.

Credit where it's due. Hopefully we maintain this run of form.

A win over Spuds would be massive for Maresca.

Over 30 goals scored in the league already and a 60% win rate would make everyone forget about our weaknesses for a moment which was an impossible task for so many years and we do have the youngest squad on average in the league.

I liked this bit at the end in rgds to the Noni call out. It's pretty much aimed at them all. And like some of us have said in the beginning, I think he's perfect for us atm. We've always done well with strict/disciplined coaches.

The manager said: "There are players in behind that are ready. We have four wingers that are all very good.

"Pedro and Noni for the right side, Jadon and Misha [Mykhailo Mudryk] for the left side and in the moment one of them drops for whatever reason, there is one in behind that is ready.

"Noni is not allowed to drop because Pedro is there and doing fantastic. If Pedro drops then Noni is there.

"This is what they have to understand if we want to be there or be close for something important."

He's doing really well at the moment, especially when you consider the fact we've got a naff defence and GK.

The funny thing is we actually had a bad day in front of goal last game but still scored 5, could've easily scored about 10 in that game.

That’s what annoyed the hell out of me we need to take these opportunities to pad our goal difference and we missed it. It definitely should of been 10.
