May 9, 20251 yr Has the manager come out yet again to say his use of James is to manage is fitness? Find it strange he lined up with 3 RBs yesterday, and I just feel he is kicking the can down the road at this point. Next year is a World Cup year, and it will be difficult for Tuchel to start him if he isn’t a regular starter. TAA will be a permanent fixture in the Spanish & English media, Livramento is also getting regular games at the top level. James won’t hand in a transfer request because of his loyalty bonus, but you get the feeling he is being nudged towards the exit. Ironically Liverpool and City have openings at RB, you just wonder if a big offer comes in the summer.

May 9, 20251 yr I think we are fine with Enzo. He is a young manager who will most likely learn a ton as we go. We've also done okay under him.

At times this season he could barely sprint and that is scary. Hopefully he can recover his fitness back.

May 10, 20251 yr As I was saying we can drop points against Ipswich... City just drew against Southampton. Not sure what excuses you can have for them. Win at Newcastle and we go above City.

I am asking for 1 tangible thing we have improved under MarescaOne could argue more points than Poch, but that wouldn't amount to sh*t if he finishes in the same league position as Poch did! Plus Poch did have the additional struggle of getting us there quickly from 12th!

May 11, 20251 yr 7 hours ago, nonotnowjim said:You can't or won't?Well. You can dissect the game in pieces but I am not sure how it makes any difference. Pochettino played different type of football than Enzo. Different football, different measurements. And our players are one year older and especially more experienced. Hard to judge whether it is just growth or something the coach did.I think we have progressed enough to keep the coach. I don't see the need for a change. I think it is just so important to keep going with the same coach especially with a young team like we have.
May 11, 20251 yr Ah I think I've worked it all out, actually.See, generally the key to being a successful team is you are structured and solid at the back, and quick to break forward. He's just got it the wrong way round. So he's gone for unstructured and open at the back, and slow to break forward.Should be an easy fix.
May 11, 20251 yr Maresca has never once set this side up right all season. We’re so f**king slow to do anything.
May 11, 20251 yr sh*te manager, he doesn't adapt to a situation at all. He just has us playing the same way every time. Fast paced games, slow paced games, games where teams play more open, games where teams sit back more, nothing changes. We must have had targets this season that were improvements on last season, which one of those targets has Maresca met?Champions League? still could go either way, but I don't think we should be favourites.Improved the players? Almost all of them have either gone backwards or not improved at all under him.An improvement on the style of football? Worse than ever.Conference League? If he fails to win that, then he has to go down as one of our worst ever managers. A complete failure. Why the f**k do we have this guy as head coach of all of these flair players? I don't want him anywhere near Estevao, he will ruin him. Edited May 11, 20251 yr by Scott Harris
May 11, 20251 yr He manages to a formula, has absolutely no imagination or inclination to make changes to alter that. Last 2 games he's subbed lavia on the 75th minute, because he decided to do that before the game, no accounting for the current match situation. James put in a belting cross, first decent one of the game, but then he moved him inside, to cover lavia going off, because he planned it that way. He's utterly atrocious, quite possibly the worst manager we've ever had.
May 11, 20251 yr Pellegrini must be rubbing his hands with glee. He totally knows how he's going to set up Betis against us.
