August 27, 20241 yr Be surprised if this happens. His attitude issues precede him. Maresca doesn't do attitude.

Sancho's alright, and yes he's younger and might kick on, but let's not be silly. At academy level CHO was considered a brighter talent for us than Sancho was for City, and when we signed Pulisic the two were compared and most preferred the American lad. Jadon's struggled to make an impression since his move to United and is clearly now behind Garnacho, Mount, Rashford, Amad, and Antony in the pecking order there.

Wes Brown has how many premier leagues? The city system covered up so many cracks in Sterling's game it's unreal. Sancho can do things on the ball Sterling can't on his best day. Talking like he haven't been watching Sterling miss open goals for the last decade and constantly make the wrong decisions in game. On 300k a week not even making the bench and is actively being forced out the club.
August 27, 20241 yr As a footballer I have no problem with Sancho, but he is a really unnecessary signing and I can only think that it's almost purely financial. He's a quick flippable player and also a way to get Sterling off our books

August 27, 20241 yr We've already got lots of wingers, with Paez and Willian coming in next summer. We don't need any more.
August 27, 20241 yr This one make no sense at all. I just don’t get it. Where the f**k will everyone play? We need to reduce the squad like mad over next couple of days and we are still brining in players.

August 27, 20241 yr Arsenal are said to have an interested in Sterling. We should make them a deal they are happy with, so long as they cover his wages and don't need to pay him off. Then we don't have to bother with Sancho and just trade one expensive problem for another.

August 27, 20241 yr Sancho grew up supporting Chelsea. That is the pro. The con is we do not need another winger/attacking mid. We have plenty in that area already.

If Sancho is behind Rashford, Mount, and Antony at United, all of whom have been absolutely woeful in the last 12 months, that tells you all you need to know and why we shouldn't be going anywhere near him.
August 27, 20241 yr Still don't believe this will happen. I think it's probably more likely we're just creating noise. Why? Maybe to drive Juventus back to the table for Sterling. When we want to do something we often do it quietly. Poch sacked, Neto signed. Not a whisper.
August 27, 20241 yr Doesn't Maresca already have enough projects to work on? Mudryk and Felix being the big ones. Not sure it helps having another one turning up late every day. Don't see the idea of it being a money making venture either. He's not going to be cheap first of all and if he does turn out to be the player he was foreordained to be an £80 million plus sensation why would we sell him? Like I said before Chiesa is available on the cheap has a better attitude and from what I can tell less of a knob. It looks like Liverpool are sniffing around, a good opportunity to beat them in the transfer window once again and have yet another player snub them.

Ok, so he's not rated by Ten Hag who is a woeful manager? Again, at Dortmund he was brilliant just a few months ago. With the right environment he would thrive.

Felix isn't a project, he's a baller. I struggle to see how anyone here isn't for this if we shift Mudryk and Sterling out.

But I don’t know how easy it’d be to offload Mudryk at this stage. Can’t see him starting many games for us though. Maresca sounds like he’s given up on him already.
