I don’t think anyone, even an idiot thinks Chelsea’s main problem is Delap. As underwhelming as he is, he doesn’t even make the top ten of issues in his own right.

I will give him time as he’s young my only issue is I haven’t seen one match where he shows any bit of quality at all.

The others like gittens have shown something even against lease opposition but this guy hasn’t shown anything.

Makes no runs at all. Has no quality

We work on a different level to club's like Bournemouth, Brentford, Palace etc.

Those clubs lose very good and vital players every season. We outspend them by hundreds of millions.

Palace might be about to spend a club record fee of £35 million for Johnson from Spurs and what's the odds he'll be better than Delap, Gittens, etc etc

Johnson is currently a much better player than Delap or Gittens. 1 or both will develop under the right coach but they both look very raw.

Delap proving why City got it right this time !

Lukaku 1st time round at 18 playing in timberland boots was better than Delap.

Literally signed a Championship level striker for 30m. How can anybody have any confidence left in this club anymore?

Delap is clueless at this level, embarrassing. He doesnt need more time and its not that Maresca isnt using him correctly. He is simply not good enough and is showing no signs of improvement. He charges around going to where the ball has just been. He doesnt affect or influence the game. He is a dead parrot.

I DID QUESTION WHEN WE SIGNED THESE THREE AND SAID WE WERE WASTING MONEY KITTENS, PEDRO AND BOB THE BUILDER (2 WERE BENCH WARMERS AT THEIR CLUBS AND THE OTHER WAS THE STRIKER AT A CLUB THAT WAS RELEGATED)

Truly Bob the builder. Thankfully his stock must still be high among mid table clubs and we can recoup all of the money we paid Ipswich for him. I think we can even make the smallest of profits the way the English clubs tend to view these kind of players. He is not yet a lost cause like some others we will really have a hard time getting rid of.

He did a whole lot more than Pedro did in a lot less time.

He is a bit of a bettering ram at times nut thought he helped turn the game today.

Errr the guy was pretty much flawless with his hold-up play. Could've been more effective if not for Neto.
